JK Fantasy Football League 2016

To be honest, I'm not sure if this forum will be around through the end of the year.
 
I for one, hope the forum is still around and that Mr. K is still happily making the knives we all love so well.

If however it is not to be, I am ready to respond to the call for the Aardvarks to once again take the field. I have enjoyed the league and would relish the thought of continuing to compete against you sorry lot, wherever that may be.

;) glad to hear it, the aardvarks are always welcome :D I'll be available to play/commish/co-commish or whatever as well unless anyone else wants to volunteer to do it. Also, I may need to set up another way fo hold the money because having it tie up my paypal account kind of sucked last year lol. I'm looking into league safe right now.

Okay so here's a few announcements:

1. Settings changes ESPN changed their standard league settings to ppr (points per reception) I believe we were playing it this way anyway last year so it doesn't change anything but thought I'd mention it

2. Players and rules If anyone wants to request or suggest changes to the scoring or position setting of the league now is the time. It's also the time to start aksing your friedns or other JK knife buddies to join, mqqn jumped in at the least minute and saved us in 2016 and I don't know he can afford the time obligation for it again this year (though he is more then welcome, I'll make another spot for him even if we are full!)

3.Prizes Because of John's concerns about the health of his forum (:( ) this year I'm changing the prizes and entry fees. What I'm suggesting is that we keep the entry fee the same ($25 for 10 players = $250 - if we can get a 12 team league going, that'd be good too.

30% of that money will go directly to John ($75 in a 10 team league), this will help to keep the forum open (hopefully) or at least pay the "licensing fee" to the JK FFL name and the space our thread takes up on the forum;) and forefill the goal of the league, to support JK knives!

The rest of the money will be divided as prizes in the following way:

a) The Winner: gets 40% money ($100) and a 50% coupon for HK knives
b) The Number 2 of the league (runner-up): gets 20% ($50) a 20% coupon to HK knives
c) Best Record/highest points (???) outside the other two: get's 10% of prize money ($25) and a 20% coupon to HK knives

In a 12 team league, this brakes down this way:

John: $90 (30% of 300)
Winner: $120 (40% of 300)
Runner-up: $60 (20% of 300)
Consolation Winner: $30 (10% of 300)

Winners can use their money however they want, which I acknowledge will likely filter back to John because we are all JK knife addicts, anyway.

I'm open to any and all comment on this, including to adjust the prize percentages, but I want to ensure a contribution and donation to the JK Knife forum one way or the other and I think 30% is fairly minimal, to be honest.

The forum is good until January, (no partial refund), so go for it! Even if I'm no longer making knives, the forum will be open until then. (I may not be around, but the forum will).
