Hi Folks -

Our first week is behind us (thankfully), and we have our first batch of winners and losers.

Hopefully it was just a case of superstars shaking off the rust, but Jamaal Charles, Jimmy Graham, Alshon Jeffery and MJD all had disappointing outings for the Todd Squad.
The saving grace for the Squad was that The Steelers QB was an unexpected gametime decision and SS did not even start a QB!!!! Luckily, with all the eggs in the Squad's coop, the Steelers were able to "steel" the win with a tie and 83 points on the bench!! Obviously the Squad won't see these kinds of disappointments all season and SS will have to get much better at coaching in order to get more wins. A stellar 60-60 tie.

The Todd Squad 60
Stainless Steelers 60 (wins tiebreaker)

The Bucky Beavers were only able to put up 82 points against a marauding Daggers team, who had a strong lineup across the board if it weren't for that sad outing by the bears defense.
Sadly lacking in WR, TE, D and K, the Buckys let down a very good performance from Luck and her strong flex play. Maybe Cordarelle should be in the lineup, and might be a good time to get rid of Mr. Rice. The Daggers had a balanced attack with solid double digit outings through the top and middle lineup, with only the D and K being weak, plus he left 53 points on the bench! With the Daggers being our highest scoring team of 2013, and losing the championship by only 2 points, I am sure they are ready to knock some heads this year!

Bucky Beavers 82
The Dakota Daggers 112

A rude welcome to our newest team, the Eminems put up 88 points in a loss to No Ordinary Rabbit. An injury to MM's star RB resulted in zero points, and that could have cost our newb his match. The Rabbits had solid production across the board and put in 99 points. Both teams had a decent 40+ points on the bench, so no slouch teams here - just some bad luck on opening day. Good thing it's a 10 team league, there should be some waiver wire pickups.

Marshall Mathers 88
No Ordinary Rabbit 99

Saintly Brees put up as many points as both of the previously mentioned teams were able to muster, The Jackhammer team put up 82 points in a loss. Even with Marshawn in full beast mode, there was just too much Matt Stafford, Mark Ingram, Brandin Cooks (nice rookie pickup!), Vernon Davis the old man with the plan and two TDs early, and even Darren Sproles in the flex position did his part. The Hammers had a week middle lineup, even with a good showing by the niners d and the aforementioned Beast, it was not to be. Brees posts an opening day Dubya even without the help of his namesake.

The Jackhammer 82
Saintly Brees 120

This matchup pitted our two past Champions head to head in game one of the season! You can't fault a coach for putting in Rogers, but it hurts when your backup QB almost triples your starters point production. Matt Ryan puts up 35 points in the bench for the Badgers, while Rogers is handed a 12 point disappointment at the hands of the sterling Seattle defense. Those guys just look better every game. Things aren't all bad, with the Gronk showing signs of being Brady's favorite target in the red zone once again. The Jabronis had a very good week with great performances out of everyone except Demarius Thomas and Ben Tate. Nice showing for a first week, and very nice showing off of the JK Trophy Knife!!

The Honey Badgers 85
Stoneys Jabronis 128

Good job folks - I'll get the payments updated - I still need payments from a few of you for your league fees.

Watch those injuries (you can bet I'll be watching them.....)

Love the weekly wrap-up!

Have you got my payment yet? I checked and it's not showing that it's been cashed yet.

yay, weekly roudnups are back, thanks, andy, damn fine summary i'd say :)

(fyi, watching Calvin put up 25 points by the half on a late night Monday game had me cursing his seemingly god like powers)

Yeah, I really struggled with my QB decision last week. I'm sure I'll make more pitiful choices in the coming weeks, not to worry!

With Week 2 in the books there are now only three undefeated teams left, and two of those are going head to head in week three!!

The Daggers squeaked out a 4 point win over the Saintly Brees. Monday night was a nail biter when Sproles began to have a showcase night, but on the final drive Foles went to Maclin for the TD and left Saintly swinging in the breeze. A disappointing outing overall for the Dags, but solid showings by the Black Unicorn, a solid 13 from the Cards D and a very good 21 out of Demarco were all the Dags needed for the win.

Dakota Daggers 77
Saintly Breese 73

The Jabroni's Denver boys were a lot of the scoring, providing just enough to get the win over the Rabbit who's kicker almost scored as much as his QB! The Jabronis had no running game in week 2, but that was offset by the Rabbit's not having any WR show up! In a week with many key injuries, none are more devastating than Green's toe injury which cost the Rabbit's a possible win. Luckily for the Rabbit, Green's injury appears to be minor and he will return.

Stoneys Jabronis 82
No Ordinary Rabbit 70

In the battle of the Rodent vs the Ornery Mammals, the wood chewing rodents came out on top! Even 32 points from Discount Double-check boy was not enough to overcome the relentless chewing up of the points by the Beavers. With a decent QB showing, and a very nice run game, adding to Dez In Dallas, the Beav's put up triple digits on the Badgers. Honey Badger might not care, but the Beavers were "dam good" (sorry) this week! The Badgers did not notice that DeAngelo was out with an injury - I hate game time decisions!

Bucky Beavers 103
Honey Badgers 87

The Beast went into Gimp-Mode on Jackhammer, but even in Gimp Mode, the Beast can put up 11 points. That back's back will be something to watch this year. This matchup was an odd one, with Jackhammer getting his points in the top of the lineup, and the Squad getting his points in the bottom - with a great game from Graham and a surprising 20 points from the Patriots D. Romo had another disappointing day, but it did not matter with the Squad putting up triple digits to win his first game of the season and relegate the 'hammers to a tie for last place. All is not lost though, the Hammers put up a good 90 points and once he starts putting in Zac in the flex position he'll be ok ;^)

The Todd Squad 104
Jackhammers 90

The Steelers took a switch to our young Eminem, even without the help of abusive daddy AP who was removed from consideration for week 2. The Steelers put in the outstanding Toby Gerhart to post a ZED. I should have left AP in, at least it would have looked better in the lineup. Not to worry though as the old man of the Bay stomped me up 14 points, and Brandon one-handed my Bears to a win with three TD catches and 22 points. Add Rogers favorite target Jordy and a nice last day waiver wire pickup of the PC-Skins defense and the Steelers tallied up high score for the week and another trophy for the case. The Mathers had some hope with a nice outing for Edelman, who looks to be Brady's go to man this year, and a nice day for Alfred Morris gave hope for the future.

Stainless Steelers 114
Marshall Mather 84

That does it for the week 2 wrap up - remember there is still Thursday night football, so get those lineups in - don't get caught sleeping, coaches!

Alsp - three teams have not submitted their league fees - let's get that done gentlemen -

best

Yeah I struggled with leaving Zac in but thought if Hurns had another big day, I didn't want it to be on my bench. Oh well, there's no way to go but up!

anyone else bench starting to look a little like a hospital waiting room?

forgot to say what a great round up you did once again, andy, thanks!

More like a morgue.

I'm scrambling to keep a healthy team on the field, sigh...

I failed to start Ingram and he has really been performing in the first two games. So...now he has me convinced, but he broke his hand and will be out for a min of 4 weeks. At least I have great depth at QB in case of an injury at that position.

Week three in the books, new trophy created and we are down to one undefeated team!

The Lions that did not roar, when Stafford only puts up 9 points what's going on? Saintly Brees was awarded the newest trophy in our catalog, the "Lowest Total Score" trophy, which will be held by the winner until someone else takes it from them. With only 43 points, the Brees might have the trophy for a while. With the highest point producer being Steve Smith (Bal) at 10, things went downhill quickly. There is truly no direction but up, and the team does not look that bad, just having bad luck. The Beavers put up 88 points, earning them their second win of the short season! Luck is on their side, as the Colts hurler continues to put up big numbers to lead the NFL in points by fantasy QBs. The Brees had Rivers and Bush on his bench, both putting up good numbers.

Saintly Brees 43
Bucky Beavers 88

The Badgers were ready as this week's Rodents came to town. Coming off a loss to the Beavers, the Badgers came back in a big way to put the hurt on the hapless Rabbits. The point producing team of HOOOLIO and Matt Ryan brought it with over 50 points from the duo alone. Sanders, the Gronk and Bell rounded out a good day for the Badgers, who put up 109 points. The Rabbits had the right QB in, but left 34 points on the bench Kelvin Benjamin and DeSean Jackson. It would have been hard to start Benjamin though, after his lackluster week two performance.

No Ordinary Rabbit 63
The Honey Badgers 109

The Stainless Steelers were showing a little rust this week, only putting up 65 points in a losing effort against the Jabronis, who were somewhat vulnerable with their relatively meager 87 point showing. It was enough though, as the old man in Buffalo put up 1 point (yay), the Marshall of WR could not arrest a ball on MNF, Ertz continues to be so bad it "Hertz". Ugh. 24 from the elder Manning, and Maklin's 21 point performance were enough to hand the Steelers their first loss of the season, and themselves going 3 and 0, the only remaining undefeated team in the league.

Stainless Steelers 65
Stoney's Jabronis 87

Our newest owner puts up his very first win in his debut in the JK FFL league, with a nice showing and producing 103 points in the effort! Nick Foles finally showed some of last years magic with a very nice day. Garcon and Vinatieri both put up great numbers, and average production across the rest of the lineup added up to victory for the man from 8 mile. The Jackhammer had a good day from his QB and the Beast was back with 24 points (a good sign he is healthy again), and 22 points out of his K and flex, but the rest of the lineup took the week off, with lots of 3,2 and a 1 scoring. The Jackhammer left a lot of WR scoring on the bench, enough to have made it a game!

The Jackhammer 79
Marshall Mathers 103

The Todd Squad put in his favorite cousin, and as a result scored 32 points at QB. RGIII who? Even with his Graham cracker a little stale, the 'squad put up high score for the week with 121 points (maybe we should have a highest score for the season trophy...), to outlast a very strong effort by The Daggers, who put up a century note and then some in a losing effort. Demarco, Brown, Romo, and the black unicorn all put up double digits for the 'Dags, and the scary thing is that the Dags had the points on the bench to put up the win!! Scary. Watch these teams.

The Dakota Daggers 104
The Todd Squad 121

Another competitive week, and as I type this I am watching the first of the week 4 matchups.

Remember your byes start happening now.

I will be out of town on business, so I might ask one of you to do the wrap up next week - but we'll see.

Good luck teams!
