Hi folks -
Peter is a tough act to follow, but I will give it a shot! Thanks for the great job Peter!
Week 5 was a week of highs and lows, with the Jabronis killing it and staying undefeated, while several teams were unable to bread out of the 60s.
The Honey Badgers, through their frst pass at the rodents, matched up with the Eminems, putting up double digits in all positions except his flex and his K. Pretty impressive lineup for the week, although Matt Ryan did not score a ton, the even scoring across the board and the Eagles killing it against a hapless Rams added up to 105 points and a win. Marshall Mather has to be kicking himself for not starting Wilson, who had a career best game best I can recollect. Another kick in the teeth was a ZED from Calvin Johnson who has a rather distressing ankle injury. Khiry showed up, and 9 out of the Chargers D were other bright spots in an otherwise depressing day I am sure. Hang in there MM, Calvin will be back, and you have a lot of talent on that team. It's a long season yet.

The Beavers got handed a nailbiter of a defeat that went to MNF to resolve, when going in the Jackhammers had a Beast running against the skins, and he proved up to the name. Marshawn needed 15 for the win (a tie would have gone to the hammers) but her put up 17 for good measure. Jackhammer was also saved by his D/K putting up a combined 20 points. The Hammers left 28 points on the bench in the up and down Arian Foster. Jay Cutler put up 27 points on the Beavers bench, enough extra to have given her the win. Ya just never know, and the matchup was fun to watch (I had to listen to Maggie gasping when the Beast got the ball all evening lol...)

The Steelers could not skin the Wabbits this week, who put up 83 points and the win. It came down to MNF again, where the Steelers sadly had put all of their eggs in the Redskins D, proving to be a losing coaching move. There were plenty of golden points on the bench for both teams, but in the end it was a Brees and Lacy that handed the Rabbit the win. Green was shut out until Revis was injured, which allowed Green to finally score. That kid is good. Fred Jackson had another strong day, not bad old man.

No Kicker Required. Saintly Brees chose to not use a K this week, a strategy that still resulted in a W! Phil Rivers is on a roll, owners have to be loving this season. Forsett is starting to get the touches in Baltimore, although he is not getting the goal line plays, he put up 15 strong points. The oldest TE in the league scores 18 points. When will someone tell him he is too old for this? On the other sideline, the Todd Squad got the "worst beat" for the week, losing by only one point, and a tie would have went his way with 63 points on the bench. It's going to be a tough choice each week between those two QBs. Jamaal, normally a strong play, only put up 8 in the Flex, but that was offset by a stellar day from Ellington who rolled up a lot of points against the Denver D. With Brandon hurt, Cutler has been throwing mostly Alshon's way (when he is not throwing to the opponents...) and Crabtree was held to only one point by the visiting KC team in a very hot SF. It all added up to one point too little, but there is still hope and a lot of coaching choices to come. Brees, watch your lineup - you had 9 points of K on the bench.

Near perfect coaching set the lineup of the week for the Jabronis, who put up 143! points, with the elder Manning humming the allstate tune to 37 points, and Demaryius Thomas catching a lot of those points. The duo scored enough to win a few of the other matches this week, but another Thomas, Maclin, 19 K points nad 12 from his D added up to a very nice week. The Daggers got stuck with the black unicorn scoring one point for each horn. Lord have Percy, who had a touch called back on a holding call and wound up with only 2 on the day. Matt Forte had 22 points, then lost a game losing fumble at the end of the game to give a point back, but still had a great day. DeMarco was ReMarc-able and Vincent JAckson also had a good day. There were some points on the bench, but it was not gonna happen against the Jabs this week, and he went to 5-0 and high scrore for the week.

That puts week 5 in the books. Watch yer byes, and watch those lineups.
I received your fees, Marshall Mathers - so you are all paid up.
We are just waiting for the Daggers, but John knows where that rascal works
It is shaping up to be a good close league, all chasing the elder manning and company. Sure hope the old boy stays healthy for the Jabronis, but I don't think Mr Stone is worried.
