Hi Keith,Keith Montgomery said:Yes I have and I was very impressed. I was just wondering if, like the ABS, there is an organization that teaches and tests swordmakers.
These cuts were all done with my Bright Knight swords in the $2K range. http://www.angelsword.com/videos/videos.phpKohai999 said:I know a fair amount about katana/Japanese styled swords. I know hype and I know performance. I know that the proof is in the cutting. I know that I can afford to cut, and have cut with some swords from most of the better known swordmakers out there (Howard Clark, Don Fogg, Michael Bell, Francis Boyd, Bailey Bradshaw.....) I don't think that I could afford to cut with one of Angel Swords' Living Steel katana at over $10,000, no one that I know has one to let me borrow.
I've looked at it but a lot of the work is the photography and measuring of pieces that I don't have online. I typically finish several pieces a week and try to keep as much of my time in the shop as possible. We all know how much time all the other stuff robs from the actual making. So I try to keep a support crew that let's me do the things that only I can do and that I do best.peter nap said:Well now.....that's been interesting, now back to jobs.
Daniel, there are several people here that are interested in your Internet Sales Position. They can't relocate but from what I know of them, would be top notch.
This job lends itself to outsourcing. Have you considered that possibility to get the right person for the job ?
There are 2 major approaches to the development of new technologies. One is academia where the publishing of papers and open sharing of knowledge is the hallmark.Kohai999 said:To his discredit, he has never, to my knowledge, had anything technical published a la the Scientific American piece written by Dr. Verhoven/Al Pendray, and the term TechnoWootz rankles me a little.
The same for me.Sweany said:I seem to remember this being a free country and a man has the right to price his goods as he see's fit.
Knightsteel, has never been anything but polite in his postings. I've had difference's of opinion with him and he very politely stated his case.
I don't see the need for the attacks.

peter nap said:Oh come on Guys. This has gotten out of hand................. I have strong opinions about Sword Forums and I am not going to express them.
The guy posted job openings.
He did not ask for a dissertation on his work.
Let the people who are interested in the jobs do their own research before they decide if they are really interested.
........... Let's give this one a rest...HUH.
I sure wish the same thing could be said about all employees. Many just want to get paid for putting in hours but try to avoid the WORK part of the job.rlinger said:All employers are good employers. If they don't like them they can leave. It seems there are some though that would just rather take taxpayer handouts, so they complain.
