Joe Mandt in Blade

don't forget us little people, who had nothing at all to do with your success:)
Blaze your trail, brother:thumbup:!

If you get on the cover one of these days, just try not to forget about us.

Good work Joe. I don't know you in person but you seem cool and your knives are looking good. Like I say to everyone lately, being in blade is a SURE way to get you all the chicks. :) Just ask Nick.

LOL...thanks, but at this point, i would take firm orders over chicks. I can't believe that I just said that...I must be getting old. Next thing you know, I will be saying I would prefer regular bowel movements over orders and chicks.

So, what's your point??? That's been my view for years.

Yes, Paul, but you are married and already have all the orders that you can handle:D

Congrats again, Joe!

Now don't try this with any stag-handled bowies 10" or over, but you could heat-treat some W2 to induce alloy banding and call it a new form of wootz damascus. Just leave out the word techno. :p

That hurts.

Dang,
The highlight of my month (keep in mind I was totin' kidney stones this month) was seeing his knives in the Knifeworld centerfold.

Now I have to sit around waiting for Blade to get here. :D

No, because if I did that, I would want to share my discovery and I don't want the humiliation and scorn associated with being called a communist:eek::D

For real for real? Hoping only for the badness of the pun.

I was alluding to a different maker, one of the highest esteem, who has used virtually the same statments concerning a non-folded monosteel.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

I would NEVER say the the esteemed maker in question has used virtually the same statements, STeven. The other not-so-esteemed maker is, by all accounts, a meadow muffin of the first degree and makes the type of statements that you would expect such a person to make.:D

The esteemed maker is prone to making sweeping, grandiose pronouncements that are glibly eaten up by acolytes who should learn to question authority figures.;)

The not-so-esteemed maker, who is prone to verifiable UNmeritorius lawsuits that get dismissed with prejudice.....should be dismissed with prejudice.:foot:

Okay, so we're talking about the same guy who was honored in Joe's older signature line, but I'm asking did it hurt because the pun was possibly at his expense (I most likely could've meant another meadow muffin - there's lots of fields in the world) or because the pun was so rotten?

It hurt because it very much blurred the line differentiating the ACTIONS of the two makers, because the words were similar.

Otay then. I doubt Joe would ever pass off an alloy-banded knife as some new form of wootz, but was trying to help him come up with a damascus and as I finished typing, I remembered that guy with that stuff. At least he's no longer selling previously frozen kit folders anymore (that guy, that is. Joe never did).
