Hey guys- :)

I'm still kick'n and getting in the shop as much as I can... Unfortunately, that hasn't been very much with the new job. But better slowly than not at all (or so I keep telling myself! ;)).

Just so anybody that cares, can see I haven't fallen off the face of the earth: Here's a Joe Paranee fighter in Mango from my friend Mark Farley at It's A Burl. My friend Greg picked out the wood...clearly, he has very good taste!

Thanks for checking it out guys. :)

ps- soon up, Ironwood and Koa...

So glad you haven't "fallen of the face of the earth".

Really like the belly on that blade. Great lines overall and the definition of clean. Look forward to seeing your next ones.

Beautiful knife love those Hawaiian woods, that Mango is Gorgeous and I am waiting to see that Killer Koa.:thumbup::thumbup:

Jeez that's a hell o' a weapon.

Something looks different about this one, the belly looks sleeker than some of the others. To my eyes, it is the best looking one of the pattern I have seen yet.

Beautiful piece, Nick.

Best Regards,

Beautiful knife! This one really stands out.

I hate to comment on handle material in makers threads since you didn't create it but... wow!

I have never seen mango in person. Does it have close to the chantoyance of koa?

Hello Nick!
Sweet Blade and handle.

Some of the cuts of Mango I've gotten from Mark are right up there with the far more scarce Koa wood
