JohnDF's Return to Work GAW

No knife content, but I saw this on the NYS Thruway a few years back. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw it and had to speed to get a few photos: this guy did up an AMC Javelin (I believe, I could be wrong) to look like the Pursuit Special from Mad Max! It even has “Police Interceptor” badges and the guy even looked like Capt. Fifi. So cool! Thank you for the generous and fun GAW!

I hope you enjoyed your summer! I too work in education, but on the administrative side. My wife is a HS physics teacher and is ready to get back like you.
This is the mousepad on my desk with the Rodgers penknife from my pocket; we visited Roswell a couple of years ago and I brought this back to remember the trip:)

In my house it's the opposite, I'm the teacher and my wife is the administrator. Luckily we work in different districts :)

A science-fantasy needing no introduction. Coming soon to this post near you, added knife content... don't miss it!

edit;
With a Guardian movie I believe a lambsfoot is in order.

Enjoy the rest of the summer with your family JohnDF and thanks for the GAW. Good luck to all!

JohnDF JohnDF , you've managed to draw out my inner nerd so I cannot help myself, I would like to enter your giveaway if I may. I am not familiar with GEC's #48 pattern so this could be a good chance for me to do so. Thank you very much for providing us all with this excellent opportunity and a big kudos to you for furthering the very spirit of the Porch.

As I said, I am indeed a bit of a nerd and I have a rather vast library of Sci-Fi and Fantasy works of fiction. I could not find my fine copy of Dispossessed (likely still packed away in a box from our recent move) but I did have this novel from one of Science Fiction's greatest authors, Ursula K. Le Guin.

Paired with some trusty "weapons" and a stout knife. Can't have Science fiction without Titanium. ;)

What an incredible give away! I’m in please! I’ve been thinking about picking up that exact knife!

I know it’s cliche, but I am a Star Wars kid. They could make one with jar jar as a Jedi master and Barney the purple dinosaur as a sith and I would happily go watch it. There’s a story with the photos. We had my girl signed up for a princess makeover and my boy signed up for pirate make over. They both chose to do Jedi training instead! Talk about happy daddy moment! When Vader made his entrance, this grown ass man got goose bumps and a little dust in his eye. Then to see them fighting Kylo just made my whole trip with them.

Thanks again for the opportunity!

Ok, so second entry represents one the more obscure sci-fi television series I've enjoyed. I wonder if you'll recognize it??

View attachment 956115 This little guy is also a hint at the title.
'Red Dawn' I believe ...
From left:
Holly (she's in the monitor)
Don't know, he was not in the show when my TV died.
Cat
Hologram
The hero (I forget his name)
A British comedy. Guy on far right also hosted a robot wars show.

EDIT:
Almost forgot. Not an Entry.

Or you could be right. :)
My memory isn't what it used to be ... if it ever was as good as I think I remember it was ... :(
I know. My kid was laughing at me when I was trying to remember the name of it. I just kept chanting, "British, I remember it's British..."
