Wow thanks GT! I really appreciate the gesture and kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the GAW even if you didn't enter.I'm in, but if I should be fortunate enough to win, please send the prize towaverave !
He certainly looks like he appreciates peanuts, and I really enjoyed his recent GAW in which people posted their "happy places". Even though I didn't enter (because I'm not a full-size trapper guy and I got to busy to post a not an entry post), I liked the GAW a lot because we got to know more about the BF members who participated. In fact, lame as it sounds, The Porch is actually one of my happiest places because of: how much I learn here; the interaction of kind, generous, knowledgeable, and entertaining people here; and the acceptance I experience from people who have the same addiction/obsession/ interest that I do.
I like peanuts, and have several, including a Case brown jigged delrin Tru-Sharp model that I won in the first GAW I ever entered at BF. It was also my first peanut, my first Case knife, and my first "raffle win" of any kind (thanks, Cory). I have 2 pieces of toast every morning with peanut butter and honey (when available, I'll add banana slices, too). Before my toast, I have oatmeal that contains many supplemental ingredients including Planters Dry Roasted unsalted peanuts; I usually throw a handful of those unsalted dry roasted peanuts into most of the meals I prepare (not sandwiches).

In addition to the delrin Case peanut, I've picked up a stainless stag Case peanut and a CV chestnut jigged bone Case peanut, as well as peanuts by some other makers. One of my carry categories each week is a peanut-like knife. But my tastes have changed over time, and I much prefer a small single spring pen knife with a blade on each end over a peanut. So that's why I'm really giving an extra chance to a peanut NUT likewaverave !
Thanks for the generous GAW, John!!!
Good luck to all of the entrants!

Yes, Flying Ace snoopy was awesome! The WWI Flying Ace and Joe Cool were Snoopy's greatest personas.
Times have changed, haven't they.I once sent my girlfriends young fella to school with a Peanut butter sandwich in his lunch and dame near got arrested for the atrocious oversight.![]()
That looks yummy, I've never tried one though.
Yes, there's no way cops (or such) could get offended by a Peanut.I have never owned a peanut, I have been going over and over looking at them online. It would be the perfect knife to carry when I'm in the City.

Okay, THAT'S amazing.OK, I thought of something Peanut related that I can add.

My wife asks me how many knives I need? I tell her I need "Just one more." Just one more is the perfect amount of knives in my opinion

I just have to post to say, I remember the Planters store on the boardwalk! (is it still there?) I used to go with my grandparents, and we'd always stop and watch the peanuts roasting on a big conveyor belt thingy.I'm in. Old Boardwalk Atlantic City NJ.
