OK here it is, all redy to download. If you notice i have devided it up into 5 files. that is because it is a very large video and i would hate to have some one download it and have it time out or stop and waste all that time. so this is how it works. there are 4 files ending in .z01 , .z02 , .z03 and .z04. these are the actual video but split into 4 chunks about 250mb each. but you can not just download one and watch it. you have to download all 5 files. the fith file is the actual ZIP file and its the one that knows how to asemble the 4 other files into a working video. so download all 5 files then open or extract the zip file which is labled "jtwraphowto.zip" this will give you the complete video. i hope every one likes it as i put a lot of time into it. And plus im giving it away for free :D. i will do a download test and see how long it takes and if every thing works ok.

Zip file won't open. I've tried with several apps. Says the file is not compressed? I've no clue and can't find a solution anywhere.

I am going to download winzip 12, but exactly what do we do after we download it. Unless it is idiot proof allot of us will have problems with it, I know I will.

Put all the files into a single directory (say c:\jtwrap). Then open the zip file, and extract the file. Winzip will find the other files as long as they are in the same directory.

I've tried everything I can think of man, and no joy. I really want to see it, too! Can you make it Quicktime format on a DVD and mail it out? I'd pay handsomely for it, just to see your invention.

Actually, you don't even need to make a DVD - just copy the Quicktime (or if necessary the wmv) file to a CD. There is something windose-specific about the zip file that no programs for a Mac can deal with. At least, none that I can find or that anyone else I know who doesn't use M$ can find; I've asked all the non-windose friends and family that I can get hold of to try it, and no one has succeeded. And man, I really want to.

That would be great, except I don't use M$ products or dedicated to them... Don't get me started! :D

What OS are you using? I might be able to suggest something.

Edit: Nevermind, I see from the above post you are using a Mac.

What do you know it was idiot proof. I got all of them downloaded and downloaded the trial version of winzip. Used the wizzard and it worked perfect. I have not had the chance to watch all of it, but I did watch enough to know that it is working. Great job. Thanks Jarod.

I downloaded the files one at a time, using "save". It takes about 20-25 minutes. Then I just opened the last file (Be patient, it will take a while for it to get the other files) and the video just opens up on its own. Take it from me, if I got it downloaded, it isn't hard.

Hello JT,

I successfully downloaded your video and watched the whole thing. WOW!:D:thumbup: Excellent job producing this video! Very good job instructing... clear, concise and very professional. Thank you very much for all the work you put into producing a tutorial that many others will find very beneficial. And not to mention for FREE! Again, very nice job and thank you for your time and sharing!

Just watched it all. First class production. Thanks JT and Bubba Doll.:thumbup:
Some suggestions:
After about the eighth wrap, you should cut to the last four wraps. That would shorten the video to about 30 minutes.
Shoot it in a knife type location, like the forge or workshop. ( The Cheerios and refrig are distraction).:p

Some comments:
The production quality -music, lighting, dialog...is perfect.:thumbup:
The camera work by Barbara is well done. Kudos to you ,girl.:D
Your explanations and commentary are some of the best I have seen in knife videos (many others are very slipshod and fragmentary).
You go from beginning to end with all phases and questions covered (a bit too much middle, but its all there).
You should be commended for the thoughtfulness of sharing this technique.

I fully intend to use it, and will credit it as "The JT Wrap".
You and Barb rock.
