JT wrap, Video download links

Well, it's sure not in my Sent folder either. Dang, I was really eloquent! Basically I just apologized for not being able to figure out how to register at your site before I try downloading the mp4 version of your video. (No need to go to the trouble of making a DVD just yet! :D)

But I just realized I can probably figure that out at your site, huh? Please try to give me a break, my wife's in the hospital and I'd been working from home to take care of her for a week before that. I'm just tired! I'll figure it out. Thanks a million for all you do and especially for going out of your way to make the Quicktime movie.

you can just download the file. i was going to upload it to the filehosting place on my site but i did not want to mess with the hassle. so i just stuck it in a folder on my sight where all my other videos are. go ahead and download it no prob.

Well that was worth the wait! Fantastic video, thanks JT. And thanks for putting it out there in an alternate format. I'm going to have to JT Wrap something right away.

Here kitty-kitty... :D

Man I watched the rest of your tutorial this morning -- what a fine job! I kept thinking how difficult it is to teach when the student is right there with you to ask questions, and how much harder it is to get the point across when you don't have an opportunity for feedback. I think it's a sign of a special teacher who you can show something as potentially complex as this process and make it look easy - or at least doable. I hope this isn't the last "how to" video you make, I really got a lot out of this. Your production was excellent too! That's really nicely done, JT. And yeah, I watched it all the way to the end... :D Thanks a million,

Okay, one final note. Since you're so giving with your work, you might consider stating what are appropriate uses of it. For example, can people take your movie, make copies, and sell them? Maybe you want people to be able to disribute your work, but not make money off it. Or maybe allow folks to use pieces of it in other productions. In any event, you might think about that now and consider how you want to license it.

A Creative Commons license might fit. You can decide how others can use your work, and retain the rights that are important to you. Just a thought.

And thanks again.

Hey guys, would someone tell me,how long did it take to download the new link?I tried it and it took almost 6 hours to download, which was not a problem, however,i never could get it to do anything.I knew i did not know what i was doing, but just kept trying till i pressed enough buttons,or the wrong button and my computer locked up.I ended up deleting my entire harddrive and starting from scrach.I would like to try it again.Do you suppose someone could help out an IDIOT?Thanks,Keith

Keith I meant to keep track how long it took, but I got distracted. :D I think it was in the neighborhood of fifteen to thirty minutes but other than that I couldn't say. I have a cable connection which is pretty fast. If you're trying to do it from dial up, six hours sounds reasonable. I hate to say it, but try again. Download the file to your desktop or somewhere you can find it again.

You'll have to have Quicktime player installed. You can find it here.

Once you've installed Quicktime all you should have to do is double click on the video's icon and it should play.

All this will take a while, be patient. And good luck! Computers can try your patience -- like golf, or daughters.

JT's video is worth the wait.

Thanks Dave,i finally got it this morning and your right it was worth the wait.I do have a cable connection, but i pay for the slowest service so that could be the problem. Thanks again Dave. And thank you JT.

Keith

Great tutorial, JT. I'm just glad for the instruction, and we all appreciate your generosity of sharing this specific technique. If I ever use it, know that it will be referred to as the JT wrap.
