Over three weeks ago I sent JTKnives $160.00 for a custom knife he built. Here is the thread:

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=435204

I've sent several emails asking about when it will be delivered and he has not replied. In addition to this I've posted on the thread where he sold the knife with the hope that he would reply.

Does anybody here have a similar experience with this seller? This really has me bummed out. I've bought thousands of dollars worth of knives on here and never had a problem until now.

Any advice from Mods or anybody else on what to do next would be greatly appreciated. I am very bummed out about this whole thing. :(

Have you tryed E-mailing him?

I wanted to update everybody, over a month after I paid JT the knife finally arrived. Great little knife and glad that it finally worked out.

Glad you finally got your knife. I hope you enjoy it. It's a good thing that at the end it worked out well and thanks for keeping us posted.

hmmm. sounds shady...now this post has me a bit worried...i paid for knife he was selling since he said he needed to pay bills and the price was right. i figured what the heck...and i've always rcvd them within a week...mine was shipped Monday (supposedly) but i haven't received a tracking # yet...even though i requested it when item ships.

hopefully it's just a nervous twitch and i get my knife this week.

I don't want to knock JT because he seems like a nice guy, he just seems to have trouble shipping in a timely manner. I bought one of his knives on the Makers Forums in early January '08. He needed to make a sheath for it, which took about a week (perfectly reasonable in my opinion). Then it took him about 3 weeks to ship it. He told me he had been laid off and was looking for a new job. He was good about responding to my PMs asking for updates on the status of the knife. Like the original poster, I eventually got the knife about a month after I paid for it. Feel free to PM me if you want specific details.

Saint o'killers hope your knife arrives soon. I'm sure JT will make good.

I am sorry to hear about the delay, I read the title and though you were talking about a knife shop...There is a knife store called JT knives in port jervis new jersey...lol, Anyway, hope you get your knife or a refund eventually...

i would like to say somthing. yes i some times have a hard time shiping out knives right away but i will never scam anyone ever. my wife and i only have one car and she takes it to work so i have a hard time getting around during the day. im sorry if i have afended any one and i will try and send knives out in a timeley maner from now on. i hope you understand.

JT, your work is very nice! USPS provides online shipping services. You can buy postage, insurance, delivery confirmation, etc. I think you can even schedule pickup services from your mail carrier. You might want to look into it so that you don't have to worry about getting to the post office every time you need to send a knife out. Make the USPS work for you.:D

good idea Praxis, I was just going to suggest that, they will even give you box's and Tape for free "J" just register online.

For the record, I am waiting to make a deal with him, and trust him, so I think none of you guys should worry too much, he's alright.

realy that would be so amazing to do it online. so i pay online but give it to my post woman. im glad you like the knife. it looks like my job now is knifemaking as no jobs yet.

Yes, all onine. Just go to USPS.com and register an account. You can order Priority Mail boxes in various sizes at no cost like fastcamo said. Your mail carrier just drops them off with your other mail. When you need to ship a knife, just enter the details (address, insurance, etc) on the website and print the label for the package on your computer printer. I think the USPS website takes credit/debit cards and possibly even paypal. Then give it to your mail women and let her do the rest. Should save you a lot of time and help you grow your knifemaking business.
