jtstrider problem solved?????

Just got home & looked at the knives. The Spyderco Police turned out to be
a Meerkat, quite a bit of difference. So I suggest anybody trading with him
in the future don't take his word on the model of the knives he has. Also,
I wouldn't take his word for condition
. He told me all knives were brand new & they are far from it. I feel he sent
this junk to keep me from calling the owner of the house, who happens to
have his same last name, & telling him there was somebody trying to run a scam from his address.

What a scumbag! :barf:

I guess he hoped you wouldn't notice the difference between a Meerkat and a Police!

I can see him doing lots of trades with other BF members from now on!

"Fraud" is the correct word. Do something.

So even though you got something in trade, it wasn't what you were promised. This guy should be banned at once. We don't need rip-off artists populating Bladeforums.

why does this stuff still perpetuate here after all these years?
why do we allow people to "make it right" time and time again?

JUST BAN THE *******!!!

I'll be discussing this with the other moderators.

Anthony, while it may be very easy for us to ban people, we believe in giving people a chance to make things right. You and others may not agree, but that is the way we do things here. Banning someone right away would also end all hope of the banned person making good.

I hope you understand.

code 3 is right if banned the have no incentive to get right with the other party, i guess legal action could be taken..............

always better to get your stuff though that takes some of the sting out.

imho since he sent bob a used meerkat vs a new police (about $75 or so diff) he still has not made ammends, that was not the deal, so further action is called for now. imho on both bobs and the boards part.

sure is one person i have no desire to deal with, too bad as 99.9997 % of the folks here are totally honest, just too bad for everyone concerned.

just my 2 cents.

This sounds more and more like the antics of some kid. Why don't you call the house and see if you can't have a talk with his daddy.

I sorta agree,, but can't you guys block him (or any undesirable person) from accessing any other forum areas except the GB&U until they take care of the issue?
Now that hes acted and acted dishonestly (yet again) ban him already.

:)

This is certainly plenty of reason to ban him from Bladeforums and turn over the evidence to the Mail Fraud Division and his local police, but I haven't given up hope yet -- I'd rather wait a few hours and see if there's any chance of getting him to make good.

Damn, that sucks big time! Get crackin' make them phone calls and alert all who should be (this runts parents I assume) and get this douche to make good. Threaten them with legal action and all the good stuff man. Keep us well informed!.....R

EXACTLY! If he doesn't make good with this "mistake", he will be "delt with".

I just spoke with his roomates brother's sister's aunt's second cousin's next door neighbor who is good friends with the honest roomate who lives next door to the dishonest room mates. He said she said they said he said that the wrong knife was shipped in honest error. He said she said that he said that he said that he said that Jtstrider did not know what knives to send so he thought he said that they agreed to a meerkat as one of the trade knives.

Do you belive him?????????????/

J. Towns, this is a follow up to the e-mail I sent you about an hour ago.
If you are finding a way to read this, as time goes on I'm feeling a little
obligation to protect the good people on the forums. Here is what I "might"
be about to come up with. In the event you register under another name
on the forums you will be able to make all your scam trade offers again. If
I list the phone # here that I have for the address you are using, all the
potential traders here could call that # & tell whoever answers that they
do not want any e-mails from anybody in that house trying to trade knives.
If someone besides you should happen to answer the phone, I would be
sorry, but at least the people here would not be bothered by you. If you
would like to discuss this plan jt, shoot me an e-mail.

Sounds plausible to me, but then again, I was dropped on my head when I was little.

What's he gonna do when the Local Meerkats show up at his door with an arrest warrant?

I think it is time to turn this matter over to the police.
Bob, if I can lend a hand since he lives near me, just let me know.

This may seem a bit cynical- but how stupid is he to send items not agreed to? Unless he honestly thinks you're just happy to get anything at all, then he might as well have just sent nothing. I mean he's already a thief- he might as well get the max benefit from his dastardly ways...

...I guess he's too dumb to even rip people off correctly. The thieves I deal with at work sure could teach him a thing or two- hopefully they'll get the chance once they're bunkmates. (Although I think there are other things they'd probably like to "teach" him first).

Unfortunately the way most places criminal justice systems work it wouldn't get nearly that far- hopefully he lives somehwere rural where they can actually prosecute the way they should...

We held off kicking jtstrider's heinie overboard all day yesterday still hoping he would make good, but he has chosen to be intransigent. RRG, I think it's time to post his full name, address, and phone number so others don't get cheated too.
