July BOTM!!

Ill deblade another 112 and get a different steel. Easy to do.

That was my first thought too. I have a S30V blade from an LT 112 that I could have used, but I thought I remembered reading that they weren’t compatible. I’m sure going to be kicking myself if it turns out to be a simple swap!

I'll be keeping an eye out for a special run of the 112LT. I took the blade out of a red SK Blades run 110 and it fit perfectly. The slim blade may not work.

I just checked and I guess I actually have a Slim Pro 112. I was thinking it was the 112 LT with s30v. That kind of changes things, lol. Not sure I would have been able to stomach pulling that one apart. Too bad there's not a 112 Smoke Jumper.

We have lots of the 112LT up here in Canada at the "Tire" store, if that helps.

As the 'First' aluminum frame take apart these should hold there value well..If Buck really gets behind the concept by giving us super steel blade options (please a drop point) along with handle options including nice wood we will see a huge demand for this AND more models like it..Just offer it in the Custom shop subject to available! I would love to play dress up with a take apart!

Got mine in! Beautiful piece. Closing seemed very weak though.

Couple drops of oil and it is already much better.

Pivot may just be a tad tight. Lockup is rock solid. I’ll give it some use and time before I muck around. It’s a good day:D

Thank you T tiguy7 ! But I don’t think I have to even mess with it. It’s only been a few hours, but the oil has seemed to work its way around, and it is snapping closed now. It probably helps that I keep opening and closing it. I can’t stop. I am blown away by it.

The blade is probably rubbing on Cerakote which isn’t the smoothest or slipperiest surface.
