July Jungle Trip - Film Crew

I don't know if it's plausible, but since you guys will have a film crew, a DVD of the trip, skills etc. would be awesome. If not now, maybe down the road.

When you're working for a film crew then everything you do is dedicated to their project, as it should be. In fact, a long time ago I did some setup work for a very popular TV show that had a segment in Latin America and they would not even let me take still pics just for my own keepsakes of the shows stars. So, the bottom line is everything they do is protected and they won't just shoot video for someone else for free, nor can we take video of them or their clients. Basically, when you do one of these things you are totally working for the clients... we can't even take our own clients on these trips.

They are gonna hate me and my camera then. I better learn some Dutch now, even though they are from Denmark.

Bear, As long as you don't take pictures of the show's star then you will probably be ok. Again, these guys may operate totally different than the past crews we've worked with, and not give a shit about photos taken. But we have to ask first since you are part of the RAT team there to help out with this filming (and they are paying us to work for them). If you were just a slug on the street taking pics then there's nothing they can do about it. This all gets into Intellectual Property Rights with their film and show, which we FIRMLY agree with.

I think you will be surprised at how working with a film crew is totally different than what our normal trips are. It is much easier to pull off a survival training class like you went through than to do anything with a film crew since they have a schedule and storyboard they live by. Mike has been dealing with them on putting this thing together and I think he's lost the rest of his hair over this deal :D

Sounds fun, another adventure! Mike should get a good wig for this trip or those cool hats with the drink dispenser and straws built in, this way he can stsy hydrated and cover his balding head.
