Jumbo's a done deal

Every time I handle or look at this knife I just :D. I wish I were up to doing another large........ It was a fun knife to make! I appreciate the comments.

Very nice. I really like the wood handle. Something about a nice piece of wood with a good grain pattern makes me smile. I am glad you chose wood over a stag with a crown. Are you going to make a sheath for it? It makes me want to chop something.

I agree that is a falchion! too wide to be a "grosse messier"

you could cleave a moose with that thing!

Cool!

Personally, I'd rather see a well thought-out scabbard. Better to carry and use it than hang it on the wall!

I do need to get leather after making the sheaths for the 6 Pack. Maybe I'll do both for Jumbo, display box and scabbard. I've got a line on leather sewing machine and may end up getting it. Think its somewhat in a basket at this time.

That is is my dream knife Raymond!!!!
I absolutely love big bowies!!!!
The way you shaped the pommel is first class all the way!! I always wanted to do that but never could get the ring to come out even. Can you explain or maybe post a tutorial on how you do that?
Is the handle cocobolo or bocote? I've been away from the craft for a while and can't tell anymore. I love a palm swell in a big knife handle!
Man I love that knife!!!!!!!!!!
Looking at it in the picture of it just laying there you wouldn't think it wasn't any bigger than a regular bowie, the proportions are perfect!
Outstanding!!!!

Go away for the weekend and look what I miss! That is just amazing Ray. It doesn't look it but the handle is over 7"! Hand and a half bowie anyone?
