Yes two cuts with a reprofiled edge done on my edge pro last October.
Yes this aint one ya want to bet on
I sharpened it prior to last hunting season and its only had a strop and steel on it a couple times. Even though its split 1/2 a truck of wood, cut down 6-7 3" caliper cedars. Quartered three deer ..I think I only used it on that many.
Cut and split enuff other wood for 3-4 camping trips I went on and its still going
However, I would like to point out the deer was hanging upside down .
If she would have been hanging by the neck with all her body weight kepping her still etc. I whole heartedly believe the first cut would have more closely resembled the 2nd.
I really want to believe this, not so much about the crazy hunter leaping from the tree but that the FBM, wielded properly, could sever the animals neck. I don't have anything in the shot for scale because in SC a doe's neck could be from no thicker than my forearm to as thick as my calf. Being from SC I would have no problem believing that some Georgia cracker would jump from a tree with a blade to take game. (I use 'cracker' in the familiar sense SC and GA folks kid around with each other. We know that if it weren't for Alabama and Mississippi we would be last in everything! Hee hee hee!!)
So true
Never did I think anyone would think this was true, but I am happy to see that I have made that type of impression on some
I dont think I would want to hunt around anyone crazy enough to do so unless it was the end of days.
But for sure I wouldnt want em hunting me
THis doe was probably 2- 2 1/2 yrs old. weighed around 120 dressed. Neck was probably close to 6- 8" give or take a little
Knife Hunter for President 08' Nice work Bro
