It’s Here!! Real nice!!
Gotta figure out a safe way to unlock though??
F&F is great and the flipper fires like a rocket.

hold the lock bar with your thumb and 3rd finger and push on blade spine while pulling up. it should snap closed very fast. some are a bit tricky and don't close as easily as others due to that locking tab sitting above the lock bar. when I get home tonight I'll take some pics and show ya how.

Not a fan of the lock.
On the block.
Bye. Bye.

Really nice looking Buck and S45VN is Bucks premium steel..I'll keep a better eye out for the next BOTM..

The one handed close is the easiest once you master it.
I didn't like mine early on either.
Play with it, once you figure it out, it's sorta cool!

Buck has a video showing it being done on the site with the knife.

I tried real hard to do a two handed close the way I do it, but couldnt and manipulate phone camera. just not enough hands.....sorry John.
It’s all good Jess. I could not do the one hand to save my soul!! 😂
Thank You for all your help!!
I just feel this is not the knife for me. 🤔

Mines a bit sticky for 1 handed closing. Almost like the the edge needs a slight bevel. I have 2 others and they aren't as hard but I usually do 2 handed closing anyway. Kinda wish I had gotten a 2nd for a carry and one to collect. Wish I could post photos to here

Arrived today! Looks good! Feels solid but light! Fits nicely in my hand! Opens very easily!

I'll have to work on closing it a little bit. With my first one-handed attempt, the blade flung kind of hard. The good news is, I haven't cut myself (yet anyway).

[Edit:] After watching the Buck video a couple of time and pausing, I am getting the hang of closing one-handed. It happens very quick in the video, so it is kind of hard to see. (Still haven't cut myself yet.)

Mine showed up today! Wasn't supposed to be here until Tuesday, so props to the much maligned USPS

First impressions: lightweight and solid. Seems almost like a contradiction, but its not. Lockup is rock solid in all directions. The color combo looks much better in person. Much better. The blade isn't centered, and its a little gritty at the detent, but other than that f&f is very good. Opens very easily. I like this knife. I'll be taking it to Tennessee with me tomorrow (along with a bunch of other knives ;) ).

Closing it is another matter. I've been using two hands and is still seems.....I'm not sure what to call it, but if I'm called "Old nine fingers" when I come back don't be surprised :p

Used a 1979 Case 6235 to open the box.

Ok, so I like the looks of the Cerakote on this knife.

I cleaned up the lock a bit by scraping the Cerakote out of it, oiled it and it flips open and shut nicely.
Fit and finish is just fine!

...

I'm quite pleased.

Nice knife Buck.
Thanks! ☠️

I was thinking about cleaning up the Cerakote on the lock. I was going to work it a little to see if it did it on its own. I will have to give it a try.
