Those are some really nice knives and I wished that I was able to pick one up but I had just picked up a 501 Larrin off of the secondary market so my budget was shot.
Those are some nicely matched scales! On closer inspection of mine, it appears some of the darkness in the grain or pores might be embedded polishing or buffing compound. Does anyone think this is the case with theirs? I believe granadillo is un-stabilized with open pores and grain, unlike like resin infused Dymondwood or DymaLux that is stabilized.
