The weather cleared up for about an hour today.
I went to the woods North of the house to a spot I have been slowly clearing.
There are some smaller trees there; many are insidious, invasive popcorn trees. I remove these trees whenever I can.
The Junglas took care of them quickly and cleanly. I would have no problem taking firewood or getting wood to build shelter with it.
I dropped four young trees in a couple of minutes. No harm to the blade whatsoever. No coating loss and the edge still sliced paper (yeah, I checked

).
Actually sliced into my thumb some when wiping the blade off after the last tree. Did I mention how sharp it is out of the box?
I did not bring the camera with me, but I did grab a pic with my cellphone. I apologize for the quality.
It took two swipes to get through that one. I don't think it took more than three or four on any tree I dropped. Granted, these were fist thick and smaller, but that is all I would need if I wanted shelter material or a small fire.
I know that a machete would likely work just as well, if not better, but I cannot put a 18" machete in the hydration pocket of my Maxped Monsoon. The Junglas fits perfect, by the way, which makes it an awesome addition to my truck bag.
I know this isn't the pic laden action post you have been waiting on, but that spot still needs clearing, so there is plenty of time for that. I may make a swamp bed out there for relaxing away from my crazy child.
