lately, not a lot of time around here too

I know one very small mod I will do on this one,
right before the edge starts is a small notch, I plan
to radius that down so it's not so abrupt, the other one
would catch on material as I was trying to cut through,
such as heavy plastic coverings on our machines, that
notch would hang up the knife, which resulted in a bit of
a dangerous thing, so with a small radius there, the knife would
slide the material up and onto the very edge. For me, the best would
be NOT to have that there, like the Leeks are made and several others.
I'll report back this weekend when I finally get home and give her a look over ;)

I have the JYD II Titanium. Loved it so much i bought another for a rainy day. Has been my EDC since I got it. Super light and almost nice as AO.

As I was reading through this thread I was thinking to myself "Man, if he loves the JYDII this much, why the hell doesn't he have a CB JYDII!?!?"

Then I realised how old the thread was, hehe.

You're gonna LOVE the CB JYD, it's my favourite in my collection by far.

I wonder if there is any chance of a G10 regular JYD in the future? Or maybe a G10 and Composite JYD, I would just like to try the smaller version and really like G10 and the look it gives the knife. Here's hoping!
 
I posed that question earlier, and the answer was, not at this time, but, you never
know, I would like that too with the handles just a bit thicker and not as slippery.
They did it with the Leek, so why not the JYD...?

I just picked up a JYD II a couple weks ago! Local knife shop was closing one of it's mall sites and had everything in the store 50% off! I LOVE this knife! I t's been in my pocket every day since! Would like to see another scale color than grey, but I'll happily deal with it!
 
That sounds like one heck of a deal there!!!

I just got home and mine was waiting here for me, lovely knife
very sharp out of the box, a Kershaw given as usual ;)

I just noticed when I went to post this reply, the one difference
between the handles, the new one doesn't have the nifty looking
lines and dots, those were kinda cool, but this G10 seems a bit more
grippier so no worries.

Only thing I think I'll have to do on this is to put a radius on the notch
where the edge starts, I was cutting into some thick foam and that
got hung up in the material, one of my only major pet peeves when it
comes to blades. Other than that, the knife is quite cool.

Fantastic knife in every aspect except for the tip down carry. Just really amazing. I got it for $31(!) and am just pleased as can be with it.
 
That's a Great price for that knife, wow, good score there!
