"You carry the black DMT? Isn't that the extra coarse?"
Yeah but its so old and worn, it's probably about a medium to fine now. I originally used that one to maintain machetes, and it got a lot of use. Don't remember where I got it, it was a long time ago.
I like your gear. The shemag is cool, gonna have to learn how to do that. I'm probably the only one viewing your knife, that doesn't know a thing about it. Wanna share?
Knife is by Brian Goode, his Trailsman model. I finally stopped being a wuss and used it, so now I can carry it without worrying about that first scratch
Thanks. I fancy myself somewhat of a steward of lonely and underused knives. It can be a laborious and thankless enterprise, but I feel it is a service that needs to be provided.
Here is pretty much the rest of what I carry. Some of the small stuff isn't pictured.
GI Poncho, space blanket, cup and spork, bino's, windbreaker and Camelbak bladder. With food and water, it comes in around 15lbs or so. (Not including extra knives or whatever else I happen to want to take along that day)
