Just a couple gear pics

Hey Brian, I really like the knife quite a bit. I honestly couldn't bring myself to use it for a while! But now it has been broken in, and will see regular use. I like the way it feels and uses like a bigger knife, but is still relatively light and is a great slicer.

enjoy:thumbup: I Was hoping you got that Companion with matching handle but I think it went to someone else.

Isn't that the one made by that Razr knife dude?:eek::eek: :D:D:D

Ah yes, the very originally named sheath survival system, instead of the survival sheath system.

I bet it took hours for Mr. Lightning to thing that up!

I'm of course neglecting the all important Pakistani push dagger and Wal Mart compass.

Drats, I am a lower level of survivor.

Rob, his is called the "Sheath Survival System" because between that lame-assed knife and sheath, the user will be dead and only the sheath will remain...

Yours gets the person out safe and sound.

As long as you fill it right. ;)

I'm still running a P-60 firestarter, SAK explorer, and some snares. Seems to work so far.

Anyone reading, I have had the great fortune of using Robert's sheath systems, although, lame-a** that I am, I don't currently own one.

From my years of hacking and experience in the field, I can tell you that a good sheath system is as critical as the tools that it holds.

Rob, in my opinion, is THE master of his trade. Make sure you check his work out.

Disclaimer: this endorsement was neither paid nor arranged with Rob. It's my very strong opinion, and I'll shout it to the rafters.

Nice kit, the only thing I would add is one of those Gerber extendable woodsaws. They weigh little and cut well. +1 to letting us know how that knife works.

Robert H,

I heard from Brian_T that you have a Fehrman Last Chance over at your shop for a sheath fitting. How difficult would it be for me to ALSO get one of those from you?

Yep I have one of those too, but I don't carry it all the time. I used to carry the saw and a hatchet, but I just didn't use them all that much. If I am going to be out longer, or want to practice some different skills where I will need to cut more wood, it would definitely be along. It's a great saw, and only $10

There is no better sheath system for adding a kit to your knife than the Survival Sheath. Robert definitely knows what he's doing in the sheath department! Hope to get a custom Kydex one of these days.
