Just a heads up about upcoming transition

But...but I don't want it to have a friendlier appearance. Can't it be made more menacing instead? :{

I'm still messing with it but feel free to go over and check it out. Full transition will come in the next week or two. Don't buy ads or memberships though, please.

Very easy on the eyes. Good line spacing, lots of white space.

I already found EXACTLY what I needed: 'Watched Forums'. Save my faves at a glance.

I hope this works out better for ALL of us. I'm finding things which I'd want modified or included, but it's all irrelevant at this point. I'll wait, unless you want feedback.

I did a test post......loads very fast. I look forward to the transition.

Search works now in BF XenForo but it's slow. I searched GD for threads by ramzar with a keyword.

Also, when you have people go to the BF XenForo while saying the vBulletin is down it may help to tell them that anything posted in BF XenForo won't show up on BF vBulletin.
 
There's an announcement at the top of the forums saying that posts won't appear on the live site.

Search speed is something I'll have to check out. There's issues with getting the index working that I've run into. I was able to get the thread index rebuilt but the post index keeps erroring out.
 
I have the utmost faith in ya Kevin, you've gotten BF this far, I have no doubts that after some birthing pains the new format will help us grow and make it easier in the long run for new members and guests to navigate the site and learn it relatively quickly. Still allowing us old timers to feel familiar comfortable enough to navigate without gettin' too confused ;).

Where on BF XenForo, at the top, it says "new posts here will not effect the live site & vice versa" perhaps it should be in red. I saw several new posts.

Yes, search on thread title is fast but within posts noticeably slow.
 
It looks nice and loads up fast! I'll miss the three-column main screen format for picking a subforum, rather than scrolling down one list.

I did like that as well. Has a shiny look and a fresh smell though. :D
 
I'm not sure if it's just a lot of traffic around here but pictures are taking forever to load this morning. :(
 
Will there be a "like" button? can you add a like button if not?

nevermind. i found the new forum, saw a like button!! also saw "strike through" which i would do to the above sentence, but alas, no option on this forum software that i can find.
