I like the old cattle knives too. This Pal feels extra rugged, solid, ready for anything. Indoor lighting kinda of wiped out the blade's patina but here they are...I love old cattle knives, let's see those blades![]()

Nice sharpening kit! When I bought my first 110 one of those kits came with it. I still have the two stones but the soft one is broke in half. The knife was stolen by the guy who was to make it an ornate leather sheath. I haven’t seen him or my knife for about 17 years. I bought it in the base exchange on Blytheville AFB, Arkansas in 1973. I’m still smoldering over that.Sometimes you just have to sit back and enjoy the simple things in life! View attachment 917982
Thanks! I've often wondered how old that kit might be. It was given to me a little over a year ago. It belonged to the father of an older gentleman that I used to work with. It appeared to have barely been used when I received it. The oil was almost full. I really like that particular kit. -LanceNice sharpening kit! Those stones are almost irreplaceable. My soft stone was a beautiful deep pink, brown and natural gray. They also wear slowly. They will last your lifetime, enjoy,Thanks!
