Thanks fellas... a later Tidioute post Baldwin ownership of which made many a parts knife from 1909-16. This may be the case with this one as it displays an Empire shield. The blades and covers were enough for me to bite. Here’s a few more from the “old knives” thread here...

Brings back memories... Mom taking me shopping for Buster Brown Shoes.
What a cool looking knife. It DOES bring back memories of times when you bought shoes “downtown,” in those days, even our little town had TWO shoe stores.
