Thanks fellas... a later Tidioute post Baldwin ownership of which made many a parts knife from 1909-16. This may be the case with this one as it displays an Empire shield. The blades and covers were enough for me to bite. Here’s a few more from the “old knives” thread here...

Brings back memories... Mom taking me shopping for Buster Brown Shoes. 🤠 :thumbsup:

What a cool looking knife. It DOES bring back memories of times when you bought shoes “downtown,” in those days, even our little town had TWO shoe stores. 😊
My mom or dad would take me to our “uptown” Shrigley’s shoe store on the square to get my Buster Browns usually before the start of school. Those shoes wore like iron.
