I forget what they call this one, but the factory carved boxwood handle is amazing!

Note the square nail. According to the (infallible) inter-web, those were last made in the 1890s and no longer available by 1910. This one was included in the barn wood in which you see it embedded.
This particular explorer is also not available having been made a one off when the current owner removed the opener layer. Still a very capable piece of cutlery and a fairly useful flea market and antique store browsing companion.
As well as quite beautiful in the eyes of this beholder.
