Just A Picture - Traditional Picture Show

Wasn't sure where to post this, but here we are! Got out on the lake this past weekend. Stopped by the bank in the shade for lunch and thought I'd take a pic. A CRKT Biwa carried on the hip in a leather sheath, a CRKT Minimalist neck knife, and a Rough Ryder Marlin Spike in the pocket.

Don't need to carry all 3, although I do prefer to have a fixed blade to carry alongside the marlin spike. The marlin spike in particular was a difficult pattern to track down, especially in bone which I always like. Some older Case knives fit the bill but were quite pricey. Found this Rough Ryder for $10-15, although the action is still pretty gritty on the main blade even after flushing many times with oil. Either way, it gets the job done and the spike helps me with knots that reefed to tight when securing the canoe to the roof rack for transportation.

While I was eating lunch, a may fly landed on my tackle box. Was quite stubborn! Wouldn't move even when I opened my tackle box to grab something out of it. Also, saw this really cool dragonfly I managed to snap a few pictures of that landed on the butt of my rod.

Noice Al! 🙂
And as usual photographic skills second to none. No obtrusive reflections. 😎
Thanks James. I try to eliminate them. It was always a little give and take between myself and our late friend Harvey cigarrodog cigarrodog . He used reflections to enhance his artistic pics and I’m just the opposite. The only time I intentionally used the reflections was when he passed. I tried to emulate him. 🙏F9C09E0B-1036-4F40-998B-DABA28F6D1EE.jpeg
