Just a Picture:

It is Fordite! It's a pretty interesting material.
My Dad was an auto-body repair and paint guy - he started me with the knives, but cars were never my keenest interest. However, we've talked about fordite, since he painted vehicle bodies. I've wondered how many shops in the US, have something similar laying around on the floor after years of painting.

It's definitely one of kind material - looks sharp from here.

Nice KEB, I had a Bushcrafter in a similar set up, green canvas over orange liners.

The KEB is a very capable model. My favorite KRB I've had was Tuxedo

I took a lot of my frustration out on it in the winter of 2013 in Michigan, making this two-stick hearth board bow drill set up. LOTS of hard use cutting and whittling and LOTS of batoning to make all the pieces. It took everything I threw at it and kept going. And, lol, I felt a little better after a couple of hours of blowing off steam in a frozen woodland.
