Like I said, just venting. I was just on a popular auction site and noticed that there were 6 stag handled A.G. Russell horseman's knives listed by the same seller and every one of the six listings used the same photos. Now we all know that every stag knife is different and thay will vary from somewhat plain to gorgeous. When I am looking at an individual knife for sale I want to see the knife I am bidding on not a generic photo. If the seller can't be bothered to take photo's of the actual knife he is selling I can't be bothered to do business with them. Anytime I see this I assume that they took photos of the best one or appropriated someone elses photos.

Rant Over.

Apparently your the type that doesn't like surprises;)

Not when it comes to stag, I've seen too much that is not so good.

Now, I would not hesitate to buy sight unseen directly from AG Russell or other reputable knife shops as I know they will stand fully behind what they sell buy where the bay is concerned, I want to know what I am buying.

(Unless it's a genyoowine cival war bowie knife made from a genyoowine cut-down revolutionary war sabre once carried by Lafayette - With those you don't want to delay grabbing it before someone else no matter how bad the photos are since they don't come along more than once a month :p )

Let’s see if we can find the right forum …

Sceva,
No explanation necessary, I was just having fun at your expense. I myself have never bid on an item without a pic so I'm pretty much riding the same thought-train.

In that situation I don't assume they're lazy, I assume they're unscrupulous and are just showing a picture of the best side of stag out of their several knives, in order to intentionally mislead.
