I used to have the -3. I loved it. It got stolen out of my car. I have to wait till I get paid to purchase any more knives, which is next week Saturday. SO, if CCMI still has it for sale I'll be getting it from him.

Good money, good benefits, in line with my career choice, and 7 minutes from the house, 5 minutes from my kids school. Dirty, ass powdered metal facility. I'm gonna love it.

Only down side, is its a swing shift job.

Congrats Moose. Does any body get weird looks from family or other people when you use your BK-9 to cut up potatoes or if you are at a restaurant and their knives suck and you pull out your 11 to cut your steak?

In my house? No, not at all.

In other peoples house, yes, all the time.

In restaurants, some yes, some no. Went to an all you can eat steak buffet once, I was looking around and seeing everyone sawing at their steaks (they wasn't the best cuts, but they was beef), I pulled out my 14 and took off. The guy next to me, looked over, got a big ass smile on his face, and ThwaK! out come his folder.

Then, a brief chorus of Thwaks!!! came out, as everyone dug in and got a good knife. :D

Then, there was the time, that I went to use my Gerber Gator II to cut up a piece of teriyaki chicken at at chinese restaurant, had grease on my hands from the chicken, and when I went to flick it open (wrist snap), I slung it half open up against the ceiling, and across the restaurant, coming to land on a table full of ladies. Whoops.

Yeah sorry I went and snarked that up :D -- someone came and bought it already.

The 3 is a great slicer and I just love the blade profile, but my F1 has kinda taken it's place (choils just aren't for me). I thought about keeping it and trying to mod it ala BeartheDog, but I'm not that skilled and figured I should just leave well enough alone lol. Maybe someday I'll try it.

I saw a thread on "the forum that will remain nameless" about making a choil-less 3 (not gonna happen, btw), man I'd be all over that.
