TMHunt, by "all of your posts," I mean everybody on the Becker forum, not just you.

DerekH, you have a C-. Why do you keep spelling it "teets"? What is a "teet"?

:D

Damn Todd, I hope you get to feeling better.
Have you tried copious amounts of alcohol?
It may not make you better, but it should make you care less!
If Todd is on antibiotics, this is possibly the WORST advice! DO NOT LISTEN TO IT!

TM hope you get better bud.. I also remember no urgent cares, etc.. and mom just gave you an aspirin and bandaid for whatever the problem...

and everything was always just fine..
Hehehe my mom is a charge nurse for an urgent care. Makes life kind of cool/easier
Well, time to vent. This time last year I was hospitalized for a week for double phemonia. So the first sign of feeling bad this fall I was going straight to the doctor. Well that time came this past weekend. Went to the doctor today. Doc (who has known me all my life) checks me out and says "sure enough. Its a good thing you got here early so we can treat it before it gets to bad." So to combat it. He gives me a serious antibotic and says I ought to be a new man in a week. 1 week of "serious" antibotic. $158.48. For 7 pills mind you. I might be showing my age. But I remember back in the good old days when gettin sick was free!:grumpy:
Damn Todd! Hope you get better quick! Pneumonia is no joke.

I have been on some health kick lately, jogging/walking, cardio out the tail, and crunches till i want to puke...eating better and hating it. But, I got lazy lately and fell into a rut...time to get out. Any of you try "barefoot" running? I bought a pair of Vibram Five fingers, and found out quick that I'm too heavy for barefoot running now...I don't know if I'm not running right or whatnot but there is no shock absorption at all..so I went to some standard New Balance till I shed some LB's....any advice would be helpful... The woman is doing it with me as well, she is kicking my ass...buying her a bike this weekend so we can run some trails...we will see how that works out.

You've got too much coriander in your meatballs. Just get your ass out there and do it.

the meatballs are fine....i can just tell a big difference in my shins and calves when I run a 5k in the vibrams and when I do it in the normal shoes...and for those who are wondering what Vibrams are....here:

I might not be able to spell worth a sh!t. But your math skills are way off!;)

Just trying to cheer you up buddy. My dad bought the knife I made off me. Looks like I will be getting a drill press.

C-Bear, you have a D. If you'll come mow my lawn, wash my truck, and organize my attic, I can probably swing an A- for you.

Sorry Biscuit, I can't do your lawn. However I can swing the truck and possibly the attic. Can I get a C for that?

i have no idea why i literally LOL'd at that...not even trying to mod suck up.....the idea of a big afro'd cbear cutting the lawn while eating a 50 pack of mcnuggets is humorous...

Easy on the ethnic jokes. That'll get you banned here PDQ. This ain't Chat, and we don't need Supers coming in and swinging their big blue members. Edit perhaps?

Hey, I know how this works.
when I was in school, one of my profs was boffing the student whose job it was to take the end-of-semester teacher's evals to the dean. Somehow the negative ones kept falling out of the stack.

I do not, nor will I ever, boff the C-Bear.

Give Reebok Realflex's a try. My buddy works for Reebok and I was skeptical but he told me he could get me a pair for half off so I bit. They are great if you're not ready yet for full on barefoot or vibrams, both of which take a lot of time to build up the lower leg strength to run comfortably in for longer distances than a mile or two. Once your lower leg/ankle muscles are strong enough to support your form better (which is what thick running shoes mostly do for you) you'll be able to more comfortably run in REALLY minimalist footwear like Vibrams. Also barefoot running emphasizes improvement on form, i.e. running with your back straight, knees bent and driving forward, landing midfoot with no heel striking.

Sorry if you knew some of that already, just trying to help. I used to exclusively cruise the Runner's World website before I took up knives as a secondary hobby (still run plenty, going on a run after dinner tonight :))
