After we received several requests for a lighter 110 we decided to give the boys in Post Falls a call...... Fast forward 6 months and they finally developed an all new bolster for us! Although some preferred the weight of the brass I have to say I am astonished at the weight difference in the new bolster material. If you're looking for a lightweight 110 with the look of nickel silver then look no further. We just received our first two versions in Black Paperstone and Macassar Ebony.

Wow... has someone been peaking in my shop window? I've been working on a 110 with a 6063-T6 frame.

The weight savings is significant!

Good job C&C!

Thanks for the heads up.

Nice! How much do they weigh?

I'll get them on the scale tomorrow but i would estimate about 2/3's as much as a regular 110.

Sorry had to re upload the side by side of the NS and aluminum bolster. The aluminum I would say has a brighter shine to it.

Very nice! Just imagine one of these modded into a slimline 110. The blade would weigh more then the rest of the knife!

I weighed a couple before they left the shop. they are right at 4 oz. compared to the 7.2 oz. of the standard 110. to put it into perspective, that is what the plastic handle vantage weighs

pocket clip? now that would solve many of my wants...besides screwed construction....but cant get everything.

As an avid backpacker who carries a 110 on the trails, this is perfect!

Nice looking knife. I prefer the Brass version I suppose. The weight of a 110 feels good in hand.

I know it's been brought up before, but to me, that's why the 560 rocks. Sturdy, ergonomic Ti, and nicely lightweight. My custom shop one in BG-42 is one that always goes along when deer hunting.

These aluminum ones are pretty cool though I will admit. Many just don't like the weight of the standard brass version on the hip.

Totally intrigued by this one, makes me wonder why this hasn't been done before now. Any plans to add a drop point option?
