Just Curious...How many people are NOT ordering a BK4LE?

My chopper needs are covered. I might get one someday, and I'll be perfectly happy with the laser etched models.

I have the Bk-10 that I have pretty much left stock, and one Becker for collecting is probably enough.

I got the first run BK-17 because I wasn't patient enough to wait. That one will be a user, and I didn't have a good, full tang knife in that size range.

I appreciate Ka-Bar making this available for us, but I'm going to sit this one out.

I recently picked up a Kabar Kukri, and it is meeting all my chopping needs quite well. I'm looking at an HI Kukri or a BK 16 production these days. I can't afford to collect, I have to justify things as users, and I've picked up quite a few in the past year. It's getting harder to find unfilled niches. I've got pocket folders for EDC covered. Big fixed, little fixed, but no medium fixed (BK16). For machete/choppers I've got a Gerber billhook, and the KaBar Kukri.

My fun money was used up on my BK7 and sheath purchase last month.
Unfortunetly, may be the last fun money in that amount for some time.
Them darn kids. Always needing clothes, or food, or dentist visits.
Dont they know I have knives I want to buy?!

I don't think I am going to get one. I already have a chopper, BK9. I just got a BK16 FPR and I want to get the BK16 FFG and the BK17 tweeners when they come out. I may pick up a production model in the future though.

The only way I can get one, is to put money on my wife's debit card. By the time I get all that accomplished, they'll probably be gone.

I already stated this in the KaBar thread. But no, I won't be getting one. I really prefer the looks of the new coatings and laser etchings. I'm also holding off on purchasing a 15,16 and another 2 until we see the new coatings on them as well. I don't plan on stripping most of my knives. The only knife I still want to get in the old coating is a 5. Cause well, 5's just beg to be stripped.

Oh hell with it, I'm not going to get one. I probably have another week of work left, before getting laid off. Besides, I doubt I would ever use it. Want, want, want, get, get, get, sit, sit sit. About the way it goes.

Unfortunately my boss and his boss decided to behave dishonorably this year and withhold from me the raise I earned. It is what it is, but things will be tight and my BK9 fills the same niche that I imagine the BK4 would fill.

Beckerhead #42

The Machaxe and TacTool are the two BK&T models which never appealed to me.

But I will certainly be getting at least one BK-15 and I want another BK-5 too.

I don't think I'll pull the trigger either. In the last two days I got a 9 and a 12 off the exchange. My gf will stress that I'm obsessed if I get another so soon. :( I actually thought about paying a member to buy and hold it for me(with payment of course), then send it to me a month from now. Haha. She's probably right. I'll just wait.

I really wanted to order one, but I just got a FPR BK16 so SWMBO was not a happy camper.

not I.

no desire for one, gonna buy one for my bro, would have today but finances kinda got tight LOL

The only way I can get one, is to put money on my wife's debit card. By the time I get all that accomplished, they'll probably be gone.
I am in the same dang boat. ..unfortunately I have all my money in my paypal...kinda sucks. I stayed up all night to find out kabar doesn't take paypal. Oh well

I won't. The 4 just didn't do it for me. No offense to the boss or anyone else, but it just didn't seem big enough for what it was, and I got a BK9 and Sheila to handle the heavy lifting if I needs it. Now if the Reinhardt was up for grabs, I would start selling other peoples organs off to snag as many of those as possible.

Doesn't seem to be as universally loved as the BK2/7/9. I still think it looks cool, and if I get the means I'll get one. But I have spent a fortune upgrading/expanding hammocking gear, and a whole lot of other prep gear. I owe $40 on some kydex work on my SOG hawk thursday (ouch!..gotta nail that price down before hand, but hey, he's local), and have $75 in stasis ready to fire on the BK16FFG. I imagine it's a blade you need to handle first before you get hooked.

Most of all...I have NO love for the current powder coat. Thats why every one of my Becker/Ka-Bars are stripped. Want to give the new stuff a chance. I've seen it on the ESEEs, and I like!

I think I'm going to pass on this one too. I've just never really been attracted to the BK4, although I'm certain it would be a performer!

Either way, I think it's awesome that Ethan and Ka-Bar offered these up!

Half of you folks will end up with a BK4 eventually. Once you've used one and then say you don't need it, I'll then believe you.
