Just Curious...How many people are NOT ordering a BK4LE?

I won't be joining in on this madness either for a few reasons: NO money, and that no matter how hard I try, the machax is kinda fugly...I'M SORRY:foot: I know this will be considered blasphemous by many a head, but its just my style. I hardly like regular kukris and this one is one of the goofiest looking ones around. Too thin at the base and the thicker tip is too rounded, and the curvature just doesn't sit well with me. I know its a kukri/bolo hybrid but maybe making a BK&T version of each individually would have been a better idea, and certaily more lucrative for Uncle E and Ka-bar. I like the brute and the patrol machete but mr. machax just doesn't float my boat.:) Maybe a tweener machax would work for me considering I really don't like the BK5 but the Bk15 looks sweet. Upswept blades just look kinda weird in larger blades. Now I'm not in stone with this opinion as I have had several opinions on knives changed after giving them a go so maybe one day I'll buy one and if it still don't do it for me then I can always sell it to one of you fiends.:D

I decided against it. I've got a camillus, that I adore and suits me fine.

Per-change I'll try and win one, for a change to compare them.
Who knows? At least for now I'm very content with what I have.

Just got a BK9 with all the fixins, couldn't wait any longer. Although I have a little money at the moment, and would love to partake, I just can't justify it.

You know you want it.

Want it ? Sure . Need it ? Like other 10 knives (at least) I got, nope . (can't sell those knives , too cheap) . No money , too . Need to pay for food, 350$ speeding ticket , health expenses, what not . I live in a country where breathing is expensive .

After sleeping on it I have decided not to as well. I have two other knives I need to pay for elsewhere and living in the 'burbs I can't really justify having a Machax, especially given that I already have a BK-9. Down the track maybe, especially if our plan to move to the tropics next year comes off. But in the meantime there's the BK-16FFG to save for, and annoying incidentals like food, fuel, mortgage etc.

I wont get one...mainly cos I dont actually know where to get them from and I have no use for it...blow the money on G-10 instead.

I agree with wanting to use one before really committing. And the fact that this "LE" isn't really all that different from the production version helps me feel fine about passing on it. I mean, the BK10 LE is a model we're not going to see again for a long time, the FPR BK16 has a different grind than the normal version. The BK4 LE the only difference is the Roll Stamp vs the laser, and the coating.

I'm not saying the deal isn't sweet, its just not as enticing to me personally for those reasons. Because I can get a functionally identical one for the same price anytime in the future.

And when I'm graduated I might have actual money, so I can handle getting one of these later on if they suit my fancy then.

according to KaBar, they don't "Roll Stamp", it's just "Stamp"; not sure where we started calling it rolled.

doesn't matter really, except historically now. maybe i'll go back and stamp out the roll :>

eh, i'll blame moose for callling them "roll" stamps. He has enough posts that no one will go beck to fact check me on that, unless he does another contest :p.

Also, I love rolls, even if they are stamped.

Stamps on the other hand... I'm not as interested in, although rolling those stamps sounds a bit better.
