Milwaukee portable band saw and stand courtesy of my father. I picked up the SWAG Offroad table - version 3, I believe... handy piece of equipment:
Rough cutting the template:
5/32 O1 sticks:
Template is clamped then scribed:
Save a little space by alternating the template:
One of the cool things about ordering from Aldo's is the pieces are usually a little longer than advertised:
Welded-up "no-weld" grinder - I use a 50grit 3M belts to profile the blanks. I also use the 8" contact wheel... this seems to work better than the platen for me at this point:
I thought I took some pics at the drill press, but maybe not. Anyway, the 1/2" lanyard holes were not fun... I think I went through 3 bits trying to get those things in:
I really like this picture - I purchased a 4x36 belt sander to clean the sides up:
