Just thought I'd post pics of this one here. Came out nice I think. The design is by Kismet, a freind of mine, and poster here. He calls it the Practical Hunter. Pretty double dyed Box Elder burl. Black micarta liner and bolster. SS and black g-10 pins and a CF bullseye liner. Steel is 5/32" thick spalted 01 steel. Your thoughts appreciated. Edited to add that the grinds are all convex. Including the swedge/false edge.

I like it too! Definitely a Fiddleback and the gorgeous box elder is a great touch.

Lovely piece, Andy.... what is the pattern on the blade bevels? Is that 2-directional sanding or a reflection? It looks very uniform and intentional... I'm not doubting you grinding skills... I have seen what you can do, brother. Any close-ups avaiable?

Ha. Thats the damn oil on the blade. I guess I didn't wipe it off well enough.

Wow, that looks great! I like everything about it. The blue/black combo and spalted steel really make it stand out, nice job.

Very nice that grind and shape of the blade reminds me of the old marbles woodcraft. Love the look!

A real beauty there Andy! I like the whole thing, from the design, execution, everything. pin job is quite sexy as well. Great work Andy.
