just finished these..

nice looking arrows. What grain piont do you put on them and what is the total arrow weight? What draw weight are you shooting?

turner--- i am shooting a 47# bow.. the points are 125 grains and the arrows have an average weight of 500 grains... most of them are within 5 grains of each other, give or take a few....:o

here's a few other batches, i've done in the past few months...:D

Very nice work. I would like to get back to woodys, I have started shooting carbon since they last longer and require less work. I wouldn't know what wood to choose for the wgt and spine I need

So does Timber chase the arrows? (My idiot lab would...he chases birds and planes flying over head.)

Teaching her to fetch them for you might take some work...

Who did your quiver?

I have been hunting for one like that.

that one was made by "jacks traditional archery leather"... http://www.selfbow.com/jackstraditionalarchery/jacks.html it is actually a fairly easy style to make... get some paper and make a pattern... i made one for a friend a while back...:D

turner-- what is the weight on your bow and waht is your draw length...

timber loves to fetch balls and sticks, but no arrows, thank goodness... she's getting old these days...

I shoot a 62# at 28" recurve, however, my draw length is 29.25" and that puts my draw wgt at 64#. I am currently shooting Goldtip Traditional 55-75 arrows cut at 30 1/8" with 250 grains up front for a total arrow mass of 575 grains. The other night a buddy brought me a Goldtip 75-95 uncut (32") that had 300 grains up front for a total arrow mass of 650 both of these arrows fly great out of my bow.

man.. those are some heavy arrows... as for 11/32, i would try and get a 65-70# spined wood shaft.. that would probably work fine.. or you could always go with some 23/64 diameter shafts.. those are much heavier..

That's very cool.

One of these days, when I ride to Santa Cruz, we gotta meet up so I can check out all your cool toys! Particularly interested in handling the Gossman PSK before I get one.

Have a fun and safe trip in Socal.
