In a zombie apocalypse, considering the likely hood of losing a knife or two along the way, I think your smallest knife should still be large enough to crack a zombie skull. Maybe a 4.1. Next up, gso 5.1 or 6. Then a gso 22 (maybe a 10 or 12 if you can't find a 22 [emoji6])
12, 12, and a 12!
No other difference. In fact, that is how SURVIVE! describes the GSO 6 on their website. Designed for people who like the size of the 5.1, but don't want a choil.Besides the no choil and tiny bit extra length, is there any other separation between the 5.1 and 6?

I don't have enough experience with these type of knives to know if I like a choil, so I'll probably take whichever I can get my hands on first.
XtianAus, the choil on the 5.1 is very comfortable and really helps with fine control in my experience. Guy's choils are excellent. I didn't think I'd like choils, but I love the GSO choil.
redwood22, in an apocalypse, could we not sharpen the choils and use them for specific tasks like easier branch de-barking or finger chopping? Why we'd have to chop fingers I can't imagine. But you never know.
Double fisting a pair of 12s would send some heads a flying!
