Just for fun - 3 knife survive combo in a shtf zombie apocalypse.

I'll choose a boom stick any day of the week for close quarters shooting. Here's a photo of me learning what recoil will do to your stance after 8 12 gauge rounds in a row. The Saiga is still one of my favorites.

yeah...I'd want one of those too!

One of my buddies brought a saiga to shoot sporting clays one day. He had the drum mag on it. Didn't do well on the course but we all had more fun shooting it and we were giggling like school girls.

Yeah it's definitely an expensive toy! My old Remington 1148 and Mossberg 500 are way better for skeet.

I inherited (or my son) an 1148 in 410. Cool little gun. My clay gun is a Browning 525 Sporting Grade ll with 32" barrels. Not a very good zombie killer.

I kind of want to buy this one off of my friend but I think I can find something a little more manageable for $1000.

If you think about it all you need is a tactical Benelli, the fastest cycling semi-auto shotgun on the market, with a large and removable magazine and a sub 16" barrel. Or simply a tactical pump gun.

But a nice looking sporting gun nonetheless!

That's a rare 1148 you have there!
I inherited mine from my grandpa right before he passed away and I love this damn thing even though it has a checkered past.
It was awarded to an Ace pilot in 1954 but his wife used it to take her own life. It was my grandpa's case and no one wanted the shotgun so he ended up taking it home and he wouldn't shoot it because he thought it was cursed.

Now that's a nicely made shotgun. I'm really liking the Remington 870 but I'm not 100% sold on one yet.

Benelli autos are the best hands down. I'm a die hard ducker and these don't die and I've tried them all. Currently have 6 in my safe now.

Interesting story. I'd shoot it

Quite the history on that 11-48, thanks for sharing it. I'd shoot it, too :)

Thanks bud! I did a search on him and he had one hell of a career as a pilot. I'm guessing that this shotgun was given to him because of his 13 victories in the Korean War with the 4th Fighter-Interceptor group.

870s are great guns...that seem to be indestructible, my buddy was hunting on the eastern shore of MD and as it happens it was REALLY cold and they were tired so they got drunk in the blind. Fortunately the hunting was bad and they decided to bag hunting and sleep it off in the trailer behind the blind on the property. Some time the next week my friend realized he didn't have his gun and figured he left it in the trailer. The next week he went back to get the gun and hunt again. Long story short when he sat down in the blind he realized his feet were bumping something. It ended up being his 870. They took it to the trailer, hosed it down and cleaned it up. He used it the following week after being buried in the mud for a week. He still has the gun and aside from losing some bluing it still works fine.

Do you have the SBE that was banned in Canada in the mid/late 90s??

My grandfather was in the Army Air Core as a bomber pilot in WWII. The Army used to make the gunners shoot skeet to teach them lead, but everyone would shoot to pass the time. I bet your guy shot skeet when he was in the Air Force.
