Just got a Cold Steel "Kukri Machete"... Are they all this dull?

This i have never heard of
My Tramontina small wood handle machete came very sharp with an excellent edge, and so did my Condor Eco Light
AND my new Cold steel (Lasher) all terrain chopper

Cold Steel's newer machetes come with an edge, the older ones do not. Cold Steel themselves have even stated so. Likewise, Condor is noted for being among the sharper out of the box machetes as well. But if you buy their plain Imacasa models you won't really get an edge on those, either.

Also, Tramontinas are totally dull and rounded at the tip and the edge is still not what I would call finished.

My Marbles Scout Machete came pretty sharp. And the sheath I bought for couple € extra came with a stone

Yeah, Marbles are made by Imacasa, and like Condor(also made by Imacasa), they come sharp as well. And the Marbles sheathes are pretty nice indeed.

I think every one has spoken it but I like my condor and marble machetes because they come with an edge. But I own sever cold steel, ontario, trams and either sharpen then or pay others to. Nice designs and good tools. I will say the becker machax is light and IMO not as good a chopper or slasher as a machete is. But it is a nice tool for its size
