just got a Kershaw Skyline

Here's a RAM I polished the G-10 on. The pics suck but the G-10, in person,
really shines. I used 300/600/1200/2000 grit wet/dry sandpaper, in that order.
Do it all at the sink keeping things wet so you don't inhale any G-10.
After I got done with the 2000 grit wet/dry, I used a dremel and some polishing
compound for the final polish.(Don't do that at the sink)
;)

I stopped by my local walmart on SAT to pick up a new leek but the older gentleman in sporting goods came over as I was checking out the skyline in the blister pack, he showed me a skyline with the 13c26 and said it was clearance for 20 bucks....needless to say I left the leek for another day. Very happy with the skyline although it was not what I was looking for. sucker is sharp and nice carrying in the pocket so now I got another in the EDC rotation and at a steel IMO

wanted a lightweight knife for the lightweight pants i usually wear; so after reading this thread i bought a skyline (in damascus)...love it...feels good in hand, feels light in the pocket, exactly what i need when i want to carry a tool bigger than the chive (which is my suit knife)...

the zing is in the same catagory, when that comes out with the combo blade i might hit that one too...

That looks awesome! You've inspired me to give this a try.
Please elaborate on wet sanding, I've never done that before. And am I understanding correctly in that you only wet sanded with the 2000 grit?

After watching a youtube review by Nutnfancy of the Skyline I was pretty impressed and went down to Walmart and bought it. I really like this knife. Feels tight and feels quality. The date on this knife is "Nov 08". I guess Walmart has had this one for a couple of years. So I guess that means I got the one with the 13c26 steel. Anyone know how much better the new steel is and should I be concerned I didn't get it?
