Just got my first small Sebenza

The small is perfect for office carry/use... not too big, not too large...

I learned to hide my smaller knives after a friend liked my Tactile and I simply gifted it to her. My Small Sebenza and Small SHF, as well as my Praetorian Slim are safe.

I have small hands, but like a Pocket Howitzer in hand as much as I like my smaller blades.

I don't have any small CRK's. Yet
For decades I carried Spyderco Delicas, Natives and Boye folders originally because Wisconsin had a law limiting to 3" blades in pocket.

By the time I started buying CRK's (was it really less than year ago? Holy Crap !) I was ready to go bigger.
Eventually some smalls will grab me though.

Looks like it would fit perfectly in my hands! Then again, my wife has the same size hands as me... 😅🤣

I really should have checked out the specs before I bought. It's just sooo... tiny. Are these geared towards women? I can't imagine a full grown man having any use for this, unless he carries a Peanut for EDC. It barely fits my hand, three finger grip at best. Now don't get me wrong, the build quality is top notch & the action is as smooth as it gets. I just had no idea they were this small. I've only had larges in the past. This is going to be a catch & release for me. Sorry if I bunched any panties. I've just never been so underwhelmed by a knife before.

I'm 6'1", weigh 220 pounds, wear a l/xl glove and a tree service professional. On top of that, we do most of our own wrench work. Outside of tasks requiring a machete, I've never once felt under knifed with my small 31, like ever.

I also have a large 31 and a mnandi. The smaller knives get way more pocket time. The bigger knives just don't trip my trigger, and I have several.

I will say, I use and others use smaller knives. I get by just fine with a Small Inkosi. However, if you feel uncomfortable with your grip on any knife, do not use it. You will end up cutting yourself if you use a knife that does not feel right in your hands.
I use plenty of small knives. As a matter of fact, The Spyderco Dragonfly is one of my favorite light carry EDCs. Like I said earlier, I was just very surprised how small the small Seb was when I first got it in my hands. Most small knives I use, have a choil like the Dragonfly.

Seems clear that was exactly what ya were trying to do.. and this from someone who also doesnt like small sebenzas.
Okay man. Maybe the woman comment was a little harsh. My bad. I'm not trying to sh!t on CRK's.

Update: After carrying it for a while, I've grown to like it! I may have overreacted in my first post🤦🏼‍♂️. The handle just fits my hand so can just get 4 fingers on it no problem. It's a really great knife! I love the "hydraulic" feeling that CRKs have on the action. I want to get a large Inkosi next, because they remind me of the Regular Sebenza's from the past with the finger grooves. Anyway, just wanted to let ya'll know.

Naw, you didn’t overreacted, it was more of a shock than anything else. Glad you’ve come to enjoy the knife. The large Inkosi will feel like a massive knife once you get one. I will say though, once you get a large CRK, don’t rule out the small, it does come in handy when you don’t feel the need for a bigger knife. It’s funny, I don’t care for the small Sebenza, but here I am loving the Mnandi and Impinda. Go figure

Try an Umfaan! That's for Kids??! I too prefer larges by a wide margin, but not everyone can EDC a large due to a lot of factors. I am always surprised at the number of smalls, and the people who prefer them,, Men and women!

It's not even the small blade that I mind much. It's the little baby handle.

Yup, same here. I prefer the large by far. I have 1 small and 8 large.

The small is very space efficient, but in my hand it feels too cramped for comfort. The small blade is fine for utility cuts. The large blade however makes a lot more sense for cutting food.

I love the smalls.
Not enough for a dedicated work knife, but just enough to do anything that one might encounter otherwise.

I kinda think of the small as a beefed up SAK now. It's a great little knife to carry around the house.

I feel like this is yet another notch on the gun of wishing for a medium series from CRK. The smalls always seem a little small and the larges ate a bit too much beef growing up. We make them work when a medium would eliminate this issue.

Much as I do like my small Sebenza, I have to admit that a 3.25" blade medium Sebenza would be absolute perfection for me.
