and I love it!! I apologize for not taking everyone's advice earlier. This thing is great! I am by no means anywhere near as knowledgeable as you guys, shoot, I don't even know what a detent is. But with all the knives I have owned, this is by far my favorite already. Th axis I use most often is a SOG Vision titanium, and I don't think that touches this in terms of smoothness in opening and closing. I love the size, the yellow handle, and the blade shape.

Flaws? I put it on my belt (against your advice) and it scratched my leather belt up REALLY bad. And when the blade is closed, it does not sit completely center in the handle. But all little details. And I think it looks a bit aggressive for me to get away with EDC in NJ.

Again, thanks for the advice everyone. This thing is great!

Congrats on your Mini-Grip. Is it a regular one or a Rittter Mini-Grip? The Axis lock is sweet, and smooth. I am glad that you are happy with it. I had the Ritter Mini-Grip, and it was the perfect size for EDC. Enjoy your knife!!

Never ever ever clip on to a belt - just about gurantees a lost knife . Canada is a bit like NJ , carry discretion is the better part of valor , just drop the little fella in your pocket and go about your business .

Just a regular one. I am too much of a noob to even tell the difference. I got a nonserrated 154cm, and I can't stop playing with it! haha Thanks again!

Sound advice that I will take sir. Thanks.

The clip is easy to remove it you want to, but there are other ways to carry it besides on your belt. Most people clip it on the pocket, and if you want to be discrete, IWB under your belt makes it hard to spot.

just clip it to (in) your pocket. clipping a folder on a belt or IWB is 200% more chance of loss and change of position

True true. I think I am gonna go clipless and just keep it in pocket. Thanks for the suggestions.

Just got mine in the mail today also. Mine is a BM556 plain edge Mel Pardue design. For $60.00, its a helluva nice little EDC. I have been tinkering with it all afternoon, helluva sharp blade I might add.

Good luck w/yours

I have carried one at work for about 2 years now. I removed the clip as soon as I got it home. Great knive!

I've had my 556 for about a month and a half now. It's a really nice knife. I carry it when I dont want my keys to scratch up my 960

I have a full sized M2 Ritter grip, and like it fine.

I wonder if the Mini would be too small for my hands.

How does the handle size compare to, say, a Delica?

Is anyone elses blade not centered when closed in handle?

Mine, too... and it's only about a week old, so it's a new knife with minimal usage so far. It's also the only BM I've ever had that wasn't 100% right comin' out of the box. I've looked around here and on the BM forum and several people have had this "experience" (I wouldn't actually call it a problem if the blade doesn't rub on the liner and if it doesn't have any play in it).

Mine is only slightly off center. I don't think that the blade is the problem. It seems to be evenly ground and straight. I may try to D/A the knife, make sure that everything is clean and laying flat, and rotate the washers and blade pivot before I R/A it. If that doesn't help, I probably won't give it any more thought.
