Just got my new 'hawk from K-5 Tactical!

I'm going to have to get one . The sheath alone looks worth the price of admission . The price is unbeatable , and it looks hell for stout !

Chris

Just bought one :D Wow, those guys from K5 most have one hell of a customers departement. Had some special request and the emails flew to and from and within 10 minutes they had a new customer! I never had such a good and fast transaction. Now the waiting begins fo the arrival of this beauty. I think i am going to take it with me in my intervention gear. Looks like a good tactical axe!

That was certainly the case IMHO  http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=362406

Guys remember, if you're as impressed with these as I am (just ordered another one, this time a custom Tac. Hammer Poll), then leave a review on K5 Tactical as well as posting here, especially if you're using one on the job

Good review, I liked the tests that were undergone.

I really saw the K5 hawks as anti-personnel hawks and not for breaching, but its good to see it would be up to the task.

After reading the stuff here about K5 I immediately put one on order. There was some initial difficulty with some numbers, and internet procedures, but Eddie took care of all that in a matter of minutes. The cusomer service is outstanding, and hopefully sets a precedence for other makers and manufacturers to take note of.
Thanks to all for putting this up on BF. After some of the recent events it's nice to know there's still constructive material available here.

Birch-Have to agree with you. Customer service was awesome and I look forward to working with Eddie again!

Thanks everyone! It is my pleasure. The customer service and relationships created while doing this is as enjoyable for me as the designing and manufacturing of the hawks.

Make it a great day,
Eddie

For my first posting on this forum, I've just ordered mine from K5 also. Ordered the spike tactical one. OK, like probably most folks, it would be pretty tough for me to justify this as having a real practical use for it - but it sure looks cool! I don't think anyone can have too many sharp steel things or things that go "bang".
:)

Just wanted to echo all the sentiments above---I, too, purchased a 'hawk from K5 Tactical, and it's just great!!!!!!! Eddie was absolutely awesome!!!! I will not hesistate to purchase again!!!!

Just got mine today. Eddie was excellent to deal with. I especially like the directions for altering the edge for hard use. And this is certianly a hard use tool. I'd recommend this in a hartbeat for anyone going into harms way. Quick-release 100mph taped up sturdy to a Humvee roll bar seems like a good place for it...
Thanks Eddie!

All of you are wonderful. Thank you so much for the complements. I am really glad you are happy with your hawks. That means a lot to us. (Nicol and I)
We just try our hardest to make sure that the products are high quality and that our customers know that they come first.

Also, FYI:
I have third party review of my spike hawk that will be released on Monday the 24th of this month. If you do not subscribe to the Blackwater Weekly, you should. It is free and full of up-to-date news and info. You can subscribe at www.blackwaterusa.com.

Also, I will be having a review in a small circulation magazine called Tactical Equipment Review. This is issued quarterly and you can subscribe for $25.00 just contact at TERmagazine@aol.com. You can also pick one up at the SHOT show in Vegas

That thing looks gorgeous and I might get one myself, one question though. At 3/8'' thick and what was it... 16'' long how much does this thing weigh?

WOW!!!!

Mine came in today,

What a chunk of steel

I will have to work on the handle a bit since I was blessed with secretary hands

The first thing that came to mind is the value of this versatile weapon/tool

Need an all around destruction tool? Get one

Thanks for a great product and great service. The sheath ROCKS

:)

This thing can be customized any way you want. It is so stout that if you want to, weight reduction would not be a problem.

I don't believe it is that light at all. I have a hunk of steel 6'' long by 2'' wide by a half inch thick and it weighs 2 or 3 lbs. Something 16'' long and 3/8'' thick has got to be like six or seven lbs.

well mine weighs around 26 oz (730 grams). I sharpened it , and now i can shave with it. So getting it sharp is not a problem at all.
