Just got the email - SYKCO 1311?

This is great I've been wanting a beast that I could still carry and at 3/16th it'll be a few ounces lighter.

I just wish it had the regulator res c grip or an ergo res c grip now that would be nice.

Now the only question is How many?

I'm in for at least one!!! This thing is going to become the king of the Bussekin choppas!

13.5" of SR-101!!! WOOHOO!!!

The customer appreciation price is just gravy.

Bring the beast! Gonna be awesome.

Yep the only thing better would have been if it had the Regulator handle

I am guessing it will be 18.6oz. Keep in mind that is evenly distributed along the blade though. The hawks will probably still out chop it, but I'm guessing not by much.

This thing looks fantastic! And a killer deal at $199!

Slight problem for me though - I tried registering for scrapyard forums last night and got denied a couple hours ago for being spam! WTF?! Just emailed the webmaster so hopefully the problem gets resolved before Monday...I may have to take a little loan to get my hands on this BEAST of a blade before I move down to the Mexican jungle in a couple weeks...

Try registering again; you probably just got caught up in all the spam applicants. There is a LOT of them!

This thing will be a beast , but I for one wish there was a 1/4" thick option. :o Although the length might make up for some of the lost mass by going with 3/16" stock, this thing is a CHOPPA, so I think 1/4" might have been a better choice.

Of course I thought the same thing about the KD hawks, so who knows?

Longer blades need to be thinner, or they get too heavy.

Too damn thin :grumpy:

Heathen!!!

Dang, Get my check on thursday, 3 days too late.

No problem. Order now, pay later.

Sorry, but I need to disagree here. Well...not with the thicker= heavier, because you are correct there. But thicker/heavier means a MUCH better chopper in my experience. My kukri would outchop the 1311 all day long. I didn't realize how thin it was. And that extra utility is something I'm more than willing to lug around all day and I have many times. Of course the weight, shape, and thickness of a kukri is what makes it a great chopper and all-around blade so it may be an unfair comparison.

This mentality helps me stay near broke. I agree, but one at a time. :)
