Tried out the new farm's pond... caught a bass too but it spat the hook at the bank, It's full of eatin size panfish though..caught a passel of 'em.

Finally got around to jimping my new 14, still digging the awesome Ogre Green that K9 Handler sprayed on it for me.

I'm digging the matching K9 camo scales, but I ordered a set of Izula micarta for it, just to try out.

If you're wondering why I needed a .22 to go fishing, you may not have ever had a pond. I aint saying what I was plinking at, but it is a necessary thing around stocked ponds. Otherwise the fish get ate and the food sources get ate in competition with the fish you are trying to cultivate.

I shot 9 times and missed once LOL

Dude, is that a straight-clipped, jimped, OD green 14?
hubba-hubba!!

That 14 looks good. The jimping is well-done. I wish I could do it for myself. I'm terrible with files and dremels. Nice job with the duracoat, K-9. I like how the scales have been drilled out to make the hole bigger. And the clip-point is the shite.

LOL dang y'all are observant! I was wondering how long it would take before someone noticed the clip!

I was out in the shop yesterday....jimping my fool heart out, looked at my 17, looked at my 14, looked at my 17, looked at my 14...then laid the 17 on the 14 and took a marker to it. Then a quick trip to the bench grinder (ONE pass at a time then a cool water bath people!) and I had myself a clipped 14. I freaking LOVE it, should have done this mod a long time ago, hell it should be factory!
The blade is same length as stock, I didnt touch the tip, just clipped the spine down to the factory point.

I was mainly distracting myself away from my 7 and 10....they still have ramps and it's driving me crazy LOL, Whenever I am near the bench grinder I feel the urge to remove some steel! I also dang near took the grinder to one of my 2s yesterday.

I like to ease a .17 out the dining room window....:D

Thanks guys, I have wanted to do this for a few months....just hadn't. I even discussed sending it to a 'maker buddy of mine to have him do it. Yesterday I was like ''screw it, what's the worst that can happen?'' and just did it myself. I like it, I dunno if it's for everyone but I really love it even more then I already did.

I apparently love clip points....my favorite Beckers (for right now anyways) are the 17, 7, 10 and now the ''Clippy'' 14.

ah, fellow rednecks! They understand! Do you also have those pesky spent cases in the crack between your truck's dash and windshield? ;)

.17 is a great round, had one and a .22mag, after a lot of rounds downrange and into critters, I decided that they dont kill any better then the lowly .22LR and the LR ammo is cheaper. I shoot my .22mag revolver a lot though, .22mag ammo is as high as 9mm!

The Savage .17 I had was FUN FUN FUN to shoot though! Crazy flat-shooting!

Just as I almost finish my flat clip point BK2 someone else beats me to it and now a flat clip point 14! :D But awesome looking 14 though, really like the jimping.

You gotta post pics of that one when you're done, Cam.

thanks, GunKnifeNut had me thinking, his clipped BK2 is pretty sweet....I was debating taking one of my 2s to the grinder. I may still yet do so :D

Aaah so this is the mod you mentioned in the chat thread. Very nice man. I dig the looks of it. Very clean job.
