Just hanging out with my 14...

When you (or whomever) opened up the lanyard hole, did you do it with the scales mounted to the tang?

K9 did that set, but I have done it before. I used a drill and simply clamped the knife down and drilled the hole out slowly, I didnt disassemble it. The zytel drills/cuts easily.

very cool mods man, i like it.
as for the .22 when fishing, its a must have imo....but i usually lighten the load a bit and carry a .22 pistol instead

I had my .22mag sixshooter on my belt too, I keep the first 2 cylinders loaded with rat/snake shot loads. I parked my truck like 20 yards from the pond so I wasn't concerned with weight.

Thanks.

which .22mag revolver? there aren't too many models.
I badly need a single-six (4-5/8" blued, yes), but there's a S&W model 48 w/ custom grips kicking around here somewhere... must be in the lady's safe. :D

btw, that other mod I was mentioning for your sexy 14: a gentle rounding and smoothing of the clip/spine forward of the handle. Now you have an example of what I'm talking about. :D

('course that woulda had to been done pre-duracoat.... dang.)

A cheap Heritage Arms Rough Rider, has .22LR and .22WRM cylinders. I like it though, very accurate with .22mag, Ok with .22LR. They are hit and miss though, this one is good but I have seen/shot some I wouldn't pay 5$ for.

I think they are ~215$ new, I have about 100$ in trade in mine.

a buddy of mine bought one used for $100, and that thing is an absolute tackdriver w/the CCI Stingers.
ive considered picking one up to save my 50th anniversary single six from getting scuffed and scratched in the field.

Harley?

that rosewood is pretty sweet, I kinda prefer the smaller scales tho, I dunno why....but I am digging the micarta ones, and I preferred my cut down zytel set to the factory zytel.

That is the Purple Heart TtW made for me.

ah, I stand corrected. I coulda swore I have seen you call it rosewood before. Prolly some other knife and some other 'Head LOL

TtW makes nice stuff, I need more....my 17 is feeling naked with just his zytel.

Messed that up I'm simply way too stupid to split quotes an stuff. And the bike is a 2008 Fatboy TB and those scales are from TtW, it's the Purple Heart.

Im not really a bike guy, but the fatboys are my fave Harley just about. If I bought one it would be that most likely. With wide whitewalls. the cobalt blue and white version....sexy bikes!

Dang, I love that 14. I have a couple extra ones around here too. I suck rocks at jimping stuff though.

thanks,
Im gettin better at jimping, still not machine perfect tho. I got all of the 14's jimping almost perfect..but I made ONE to close together...but it looks OK and it functions, which is the most important part to me.

I was a lil concerned about tip-strength...but I have been testing it and aint broke it yet...Im sure I lost some strength by clipping it but not enough to compromise the blade's utility.
