Frost cutlery products ??

I receive the catalog and of course the prices are low, is the quality really that bad ??

Wall-hangers...Just wall-hangers. (And I mean HIGH up on the wall, so that the flaws in these POS "knives" can't be closely seen.).

Absolutely horrid. :barf:

Don't even think of buying their crap. Your money is better off with CRKT.

They have frost on them cause people leave em' outside.
Your better off making a knife out of a fingernail file....no joke.

Camillus has always supprised me at how GOOD they're lower cost knives are.

Frosts exists to keep the cosmic balance.

And, I agree with all of them!!!!!!!!!!:D

If they're so bad why do they have their own Cable TV Show every week?
Sean & Tom think they're great. :D

I think it is possible they are paid on a per knife sold basis. That would explain the 100 piece folder sets and the 40 piece "bowie" sets.
Plus they would not know a quality knife if they cut themsleves with it.

From experience here... Yes they are absolute crap! I picked up one of their 100 knife sets before I read much here on BFC. The only good thing is that they actually do send you 100 knives. Aside from that, there is absolutely nothing good about them. I initially tried to sell them off here VERY CHEAP and thankfully no-one flamed me too bad but I certainly found out quickly that they are worth absolutely nothing as I even tried to 'give' them away with someone paying shipping. Finally, I ended up giving some away 'paying shipping' which I was happy to do. I made a gift to a couple people for 'tackle crap knives' to sit out the rest of their lives in a fermented gunge of rust, fish guts, and salmon eggs and I'm sure they didn't last long. I still have three bowies which I've been unable to give away and I also have a few of the folders which another forumite had bought and we exchanged them to 'compare the crap' we had bought. My original purchase was like 4 years ago to give you some idea of the timeline. If you are absolutely dying of curiosity send me an email and I'll mail you a sample of the folders so you can be absolutely certain what I am saying is truth. Otherwise, I can only caution you to NEVER buy their knives unless you are looking for 'costume' type knives for Plays, Masquerade Parties, etc and NEVER expect them to cut anything. On top of all that the majority of the folders were 'dangerously' lacking in quality and would offer a host of injuries to any would-be user.

I hope you take this reply seriously.

I can still remember the HSN show where one of the two clowns managed to fracture a Frost Cutlery Sword and lost the use of his right arm for weeks.

Stay away from these things. They are an accident waiting to happen.

Frost knives seem interesting. Not interesting in a good way, but interesting none-the-less.

:D Equal and opposite reaction...

Frost Cutlery used to have a few Japan made knives, and even though they we a little more expensive (relatively) they were quite a bit better quality. This was a few years ago, though, and I don't know if they are still having some made in Japan. Otherwise, China, and Pakastan can just keep their knives.

I remember that too :D But that's another different thread topic about why clowns should not handle knives :D
