Back home on the Cape we really get no Spring--just rain or fog or wind off the water. Up here in our Vermont woods we seem to be way behind this season, with a foot of snow in a lot of places at the house, probably two or more up above, and still big-ass piles of plow spoils in the dooryard.

We keep the screen door on so we can dump excess heat if the woodstove gets corking too high but keep the cat from escaping to be a meal for the local wildlife.
