I took a notion of getting a plain or graphic Sebenza to have one different from my inlaid models.

This one came up on another forum recently and I jumped on the chance to buy it back. I purchased this one originally just over five years ago and sold it later as I was obsessed with wood inlays. I regretted that afterwards and tried to track it down. Sadly, my original buyer had moved it on and I think it changed hands another couple of times before I spotted it in the classifieds and so it has returned home after a five year round trip :D

It's a large regular Sebenza with reverse silver graphics. The blade is double thumb lugged Basketweave Damasteel.

I recently made the difficult decision to retire my James Barber ERA slipjoint after a long spell of carry. Here's a little background about the Barber - I first got in the Autumn of 1985 with the money from selling a Salmon I landed on the River Roe. My father later used this knife and I have had it on me everyday in the ten years since his death. So this is an important knife to me and I have carried it with pleasure even though it's completely worn out. So I have decided now to retire it and start a new cycle.

This is probably the most meaningful knife I will ever buy so I intend to have a good few years of enjoyment from it and hope everything goes well from here in. I'll still have a large Sebbie on my belt, of course, but this one will always be in my front pocket. I've taken off the clip and changed that over to the Ti insert,

My modest collection... anything more would be redundant, right? I'm sure these won't be the last :-)

I've just opened the parcel and taken a couple of pictures of this large 21 which will be my new desk knife, taking over from the Micarta Sebbie. I haven't reversed the screws or removed the lanyard yet as I have to disassemble my other carry knife to clean stuff off it and I'll sort them both out together later this evening.

It's Bark Mammoth Ivory and has Ladder pattern Damasteel.
